TIME in our physical world has just moved forward - that means we celebrate one more precious hour of daylight at the end of our day. True, this is a human manipulation of our time code that we have been doing for years in this country...but I think it’s fascinating proof of what can happen if one person has a good idea and significant numbers of people agree with it. It follows that the rest of the country will go along without much fuss and eventually take it to be the norm. I find it delightfully inspiring that it has to do with experiencing more natural light in this season. Which brings me to share the motivation behind this issue of ONE.
We have been observing, in general, a great number of people having trouble making the shift to a greater place of love within themselves. It always seems much easier to go on ‘binges’, blessing everyone else around with love and light. Eventually we get tired and go back to ‘the same old way’ of doing things until something or someone inspires us to do it again with renewed vigour!
It appears that the flaw with this old system is we tend to forget to pay any attention to the source of all that serves us - ourselves. Most people still have trouble jumping the hurdle of loving themselves. If there is a critical component in our mission to bring the peace/love/light of heaven to earth...this is surely it. Loving ourselves is an outrageous tool in speeding up the Peace Vigil for this planet and the very universe itself, and allowing ourselves to blossom.
The photo on our cover is the flowering plant that is native to Vancouver Island. It is truly gorgeous and the astounding thing is it is actually growing by my house. Anyone who knows me would laugh, because although it is a known fact that crystals grow in my keeping, plants don’t! So why does this splendor happen year in, year out at the side of my house? Simple, the plant belongs here - it loves being who it is - it’s proud of the energy it holds at the corner of this structure and does not let my ignorance of its’ needs hold it back. It somehow accepts the fact, for my lack of understanding - I Love it! Because it rises up in its own power - it blesses everyone who passes..it grows taller every year..it has created an energetic presence so bountiful that instead of cutting it back like we ‘should’..I’m going to move the sidewalk!
I share this, because it is the same for you, at the point your love for being who you are surpasses all that exists around you, you can and indeed will change your world. When enough people do the same, the expansion of light /love for all will simply BE.
So in this issue, we have put together some wonderful pages to help you contemplate the joy of being you, the power and beauty of loving yourself, of accepting miracles as they create themselves around you...and yes, oh yes, reminding you that as you grow within, you have more to share with all around you. With love and understanding, we welcome you to the brightest days of our year, may you live them gently and wisely together as ONE.
The following is an excerpt from the book, "A Young Person’s Handbook for Creating a Better World". In the ‘olden days’ it was common for the young to sit at the knees of elderswise ones who had a lifetime of experience to share. Sadly, that art of ‘passing down’ seems to have gone astray in our technological times. Hopefully this is a sign of the old ways returning. g/*
Regardless of conditioning and upbringing, do you realize that you have ALL the potential necessary to be outstanding leaders in creating a better world? Will you be among those who shape the future? Do you feel a desire to help make a significant difference? Do you see it as an opportunity for your own growth and welfare? Since the most effective guidance is by example, how do you now choose to prepare for that kind of leadership? What kind of a legacy do you want to leave for those who come later?
At this point you may be thinking, ‘How can I, as just one person, make a difference?’ In answer, I ask you to remember three people who have won the Nobel Peace prize for outstanding work in raising the consciousness of mankind. First is Mother Teresa, who demonstrated the meaning of unconditional love by devoting herself entirely to alleviation of suffering among the poorest people on Earth. The second is Nelson Mandela, who demonstrated such patience, compassion and forgiveness for all people, including those who incarcerated him for twenty seven years of hard labor, allowing him only one visitor a year. His example has become a light of peace to the entire world and this is just one person. Third is Dr.Wangari Maathai, who in 2004 became an award winner for her outstanding work in caring for the environment, largely by promoting redemption of the Earth from the ravages of greedy people. Her most notable effort was promoting the planting of thirty million trees in areas that had been devastated, despite several beatings and imprisonment before her work came to world attention.
Thinking of these three as examples, I ask you, is genius or enlightenment any more than the result of imagining answers to interesting questions and discovering ways of implementing them? I leave you to follow up on these inspirational stories that demonstrate so clearly how you too, if you will, can raise the consciousness of humanity.
All it takes is simple devotion to being true to yourself in following whatever creative vision you hold dear. Inasmuch as you are a unique expression of Creative Spirit, your contribution will also be unlike any others. It can only be revealed if you choose to follow your inner guidance in allowing it to manifest. This guidance may be referred to as your indwelling spirit, your soul, your Christ center, the voice within, or your intelligence. Inspiration from another’s example tends to open doors and light the way, but any attempt to be like another becomes a distracting form of worship that tends to promote apathy, frustration and hopelessness. Each of you is intrinsically a creator, with unlimited potential and an inherent knowing that where there’s a will there’s a way.
Thus you, being just one person - can leave a legacy - regardless of your circumstances, if you are powered with a firm resolve, a dedication to truly make a difference. A message from Monsignor William A. Kerr, Executive Director, Pope John Paul II Cultural Center
All of us are so liable to human error that unless we have some capacity to bear with the errors of others, and they with ours, we will not be able to maintain a lasting relationship with anybody. -Eknath Easwaren
Part of being human is that we are constantly disappointed by others. If only my spouse was more sensitive to my needs, if only my boss was not so moody, if only Johnny’s teacher would understand his potential, if only Johnny appreciated the sacrifices I make for him, if only my neighbour would move. And then there are the familial tapes we are accustomed to in our culture and ultimately in our lives: if only my Mother had insisted that I practice piano, if only she had taught me to be more disciplined, if only she hadn’t favoured my sister or picked on me, if only my Father had earned more money, if only they had taught me how to budget, if only she had not made me go to church, if only she had not been… and so on.
In our search for the reason as to why we aren’t happy and rich (not just in money but in meaning or health etc.) and welladjusted and successful there is a never-ending supply of imperfect "others" waiting in the wings to be given this award. The problem is that until we stop looking to others to blame for our unhappiness, we will continue to ignore the only imperfect person we can influence, and who can do something about our lives–our perfectly imperfect self.
Please don’t misunderstand me. Many of us have been victims of circumstances; we need only look as recently at the tsunami in Southeast Asia to be reminded how the powerful forces unleashed by nature left a trail of death and destruction in its wake. Many have experienced unbelievable horrors perpetrated on innocent vulnerable children or defenceless adults. We all know stories of the freak accident where death or injury came, unexpected and unwelcome.
But for any of us who have lived through fear and pain and who are still alive today and able to read these words, we can reduce our suffering and change our lives by refusing the tempting mantle of victim hood - blaming the other.
The distinction, however, between being a victim and wearing the mantle of victim hood, also called the victim mentality, is crucial.
Richard Bolles says it best:
"The Victim Mentality, simply defined, is that outlook or attitude which says: "My life is essentially at the mercy of vast powerful forces out there and beyond my control. Therefore, I am at the mercy of my history, my upbringing, my genes, my education (or lack of it) …the economy, the times we live in, the social structure, the politicians, the corporations or the rich…or some particular enemy that is out to get me and who has great power, an irate creditor, an ex-boyfriend, or girlfriend…The victim mentality discharges you from responsibility for your life, since clearly what is happening to you is not your fault. You don’t have to lift a finger.
Being a victim means that there are some areas in my life where I am battling powerful forces, but I will do battle with them. Whereas, having the Victim Mentality means giving up; "What’s the use? Why even try? I have no power at all; the things you suggest may help other people, but they can’t offer any hope to me…"
"I want to state a simple truth," says Bolles, and that is, "I believe every individual has more control over his life than he or she thinks is the case…no matter how much of our life we perceive to be unchangeable because it is in the control of someone or something else; there is always that part that is under our control, and that we can work on to change. Be it 2%, 5%, 30% or whatever, it is almost always more than we think."
The journey of our "one wild and precious life," is often fraught with difficulty. It is continually changing, for better and worse. No matter how hard we try, we can’t seem to tame it, and it rarely matches our ideal of "normal" at least not for long. We will always be adapting to new and old challenges. We daily face the disappointment of not getting what we want and losing things we have. And yet for those who shift their vision even a little, the gift of everyday life is a wonder-filled and grace-filled gift.
This gift is best recognized by developing an awareness of the present as opposed to distracting ourselves by blaming others, re-living the past, and speculating about what’s going to happen in the future. When we are fully in the here and now, we have a chance to notice what is working in our lives, and what we need to do to make the changes to what can be changed, and to acknowledge and accept what we can’t do anything about. And at all times to take full ownership for the ripple effect of our own actions and inactions.
What’s hopeful about this is that we are no longer helpless victims waiting for others to change or waiting for someone to rescue us. We step up to the plate and take our turn being batter and pitcher, base person and outfielder. Sometimes we score a home run. Sometimes we strike out. Sometimes we foul the ball. This is life. It is the nature of life for us to make mistakes and drop the ball. The sooner we dust ourselves off and get back in the game, rather than beating ourselves up or blaming others, the less we suffer. Perfection is an impossible goal.
Pema Chodron, one of my favourite teachers, talks about the "oops, I did it again!" She encourages us to be patient with the fact that we are human and make mistakes, and she reminds us that the effort counts. And as we develop this patience with ourselves, we notice the efforts of others too, even the smallest gesture of kindness or bravery when someone "catches" themselves and pauses before they lash out. When we become attentive to the efforts of others it can inspire us, because we know that it’s not easy.
Let’s not waste another precious moment ignoring the gift of today, and may we all gently encourage each other on.
Begin taking action now, while being neurotic or imperfect, a procrastinator or unhealthy or lazy or any other label by which you inaccurately describe yourself. Go ahead and be the best imperfect person you can be and get started on those things you want to accomplish before you die. Masstake Morita, M. D.

All schools of Yoga include the practices of Hatha Yoga, they just use different approaches and methods. Hatha Yoga is a therapeutic system that joins the body to the mind and in doing so, allows the spirit to appear. Some methods use strenuous exercise and sweat, others use gentle movement and calm. Whatever you call your Yoga practice, whichever style you use, rest assured all methods are in favour of a common goal; that being, to bring the mind, body and spirit together as one.
The word Hatha is comprised of ‘ha’ meaning sun and ‘tha’ meaning moon. The word Yoga means to ‘yoke’ or ‘join.’ Hatha Yoga is the balancing of two energies to achieve balance in the body and mind. Balancing these energies, Yin and Yang or Male and Female, is accomplished by combining the practice of Asana or poses, breathing techniques or Pranayama and meditation together in a Yoga session. In addition, the combination of these practices will also open the way for contact with the spirit; thus joining together our ‘whole body system’, the physical, mental and spiritual.
The poses or Asanas help our joints to loosen up through bending and by gently stretching the muscles. This releases tension and stiffness and helps realign and strengthen. Among many other things, yoga poses also improve circulation, tone and massage the inner organs, lower blood pressure, expand the chest, open the heart center and loosen the spine. The breathing techniques or Pranayama and meditation help us to connect our conscious to our unconscious. Focusing on breath re-teaches us to breath as we are meant to. Normal daily life, stress, pain and anxiety all take our focus away from ourselves and our breath. This usually results in fast, shallow breathing which affects the heart rate, digestion, appetite and sleeping habits. Through breathing exercises, concentration and relaxation, Universal Energy, life-force or ‘prana’, is circulated through our bodies. As this energy circulates it clears and cleanses our energy channels of negative energies and toxins that usually gather within all of us, as we walk through normal daily activities. These negative energies and toxins attach themselves to us by entering our mental, physical or spiritual bodies while we are tuned into the world around us and not in tune with ourselves. When these channels are clear our chakra systems are cleansed, purified and attuned. Our lungs are fully expanded, digestive system is stimulated and our blood is filled with rich, purifying oxygen. Our Physical Body is now in tune with our Mental Body. When we are in this state we can easily shift our consciousness, through meditation, becoming fully in tune with ourselves. We come to a place where all at once we see nothing and everything, serenity and joy, clarity and silence. When this occurs we feel relaxed, at peace and euphoric.
The practice of Yoga is indeed a great form of exercise, an excellent relaxation therapy and has a great many benefits. It is however, much more than physical exercise. And there is much more involved than just relaxation. There is a metaphysical, abstract side to Yoga, the side that is known but not really seen, felt but not really measured. This side is called Enlightenment. It is reached when body, mind and spirit become one and we are fully connected to all that is.

WHAT would your body tell you if it had the chance? What is it trying to tell you right now? These are questions that the discipline of Medical Intuition (M.I.) would answer. It is possible to learn a great deal from our energy field. There is no magic to this process. No diagnostic tests are used. The Intuitive just asks the body. Quantum physics has explanations for this New Field/ Old Art. There have been Intuitives throughout the ages with whom people consulted to uncover the secrets of the past, present and future. M.I. is simply another aspect of accessing information from the energy field of another being.
A Medical Intuitive scan provides a "supplementary insight" from direct communication with the body at an intuitive level.
Medical Intuition can give a fairly comprehensive insight into what is going on in your body at the present time, the degree of balance or imbalance. It can pinpoint some illnesses, even in early stages before they reach a point at which diagnostic instruments used by the medical profession are able to detect them.
But the real bonus of an Intuitive scan is the insight into the underlying situations or the emotional underpinnings of a physical condition. Conventional medicine treats symptoms. If we could know the causes of those symptoms, we could act to resolve the cause rather than masking things by treating the symptoms. As an example, unresolved anger not only figuratively, but also literally may "eat away" at us, eventually manifesting as cancer.
I do not mean to say that all cancer is unresolved anger. I have, however, always been fascinated by the way in which language precedes or defines our physical condition. Take the following terms we hear used often. "Uptight" (Could that eventually mean "constipated"?) "Something eating away at her" (cancer?) Then there is "heart-sick", "antsy", "hardhearted", "thick-headed", "bad-mouthing" or "sourpuss." Have you ever experienced a situation that was stifling? You find it hard to breathe because if you speak your truth someone will "jump down your throat." This discussion on language is merely a sidetrack, but I believe it illustrates an important aspect of the wisdom we possess, even at a subconscious level. For language to express so unequivocally the conditions of our psyche even prior to our body manifesting a disease is worth the attention. Listen to what you are saying sometime and "take it to heart."
Medical Intuition as a discipline offers insight. It is not a healing modality. It is not intended to replace diagnosis by a health care practitioner. A Medical Intuitive scan simply provides a "supplementary insight" from direct communication with the body at an intuitive level. It is very helpful for a Medical Intuitive to have a basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pharmacology. Lori Wilson’s School of Medical Intuition, where I received my training, provides practice in all of these. How do I recognize the energetic manifestation of lupus, schizophrenia or bronchitis? What are the energetic signals of the common prescription drugs, or street drugs? How do I explain lesions in the aura? How do I pick up the presence or absence of any of the organs or systems within the body?
The curious nature of human beings is often what brings them to any Intuitive for answers. Often, however, the curiosity is regarding what they perceive as an unusual ability in another human being. If you approach an intuitive scan as a test to see how "good" the person is at figuring out what ails you, you are shortchanging yourself. Chances are, you will get an interesting overall picture. However, if you have a specific health concern and are truly seeking further information, confirmation or insight into the origin of the condition, you are likely to receive more comprehensive help if you provide any information you already have to your Medical Intuitive. Be an informed consumer.
Medical Intuition is not a psychic reading or a mystical gift. It is not the role of a Medical Intuitive to offer to fix you. They are simply there to facilitate an information exchange between your body and yourself.

Winds of Amber, they call me
Spirit Dancer. Come and play for
a while, I promise to make you smile.
It is time to frolic
in the enchanted garden.
Let me take you back to that place in your
childhood years when you had no fears.
There is magic all around you.
Open your heart and let your imagination take you there.
Do you remember your childhood days when it was awesome to dream? So many possibilities existed. As we grew older we lost sight of that place of innocence, a place without any fear, when fun was allowed. Why is it that as adults we neglect to be more playful? Have we really forgotten how to dream? Are we so wrapped up in this crazy world of responsibilities and trying to earn a living that we just simply forget to have fun. Life becomes so mundane and filled with worries. Do you remember the last time you allowed your spirit to run free? When did you stop believing?
Have you ever been so lucky as to be touched by the world of fairies? Years ago, I went for a walk through a forest in Devon, England. My friend told me stories of fairies and other small beings. Of course, I thought it was only something that you read about in children’s books. During my adventure through this mystical woodland, and for the first time since I was a child, I felt some kind of enchantment returning to me. The trees became more vibrant and everything seemed to come alive. I didn’t have a care in the world. My mind was so still. I focused on the beauty that was all around me. It felt as though I was in a different world, an entrancing one. Nature speaks to you if you only give it a chance.
By the end of the walk I noticed the strangest thing. I looked down to see that my hiking boots that I had doubledknotted had come completely untied. "How can this be?" I asked my friend. She laughed and replied that it must have been the pixies in the forest playing with me. I kept looking down at my shoes in disbelief. From then on I started to believe in the magic all over again!
Have you ever seen tiny glowing lights around yourself or others? Some call them fairy lights. My son and I once witnessed this amazing encounter on a wonderful holiday in Southern Wales. There were mysterious trees, streams and even a place called ‘Crystal Mountain.’ We both witnessed beams of light through the branches and sparkling raindrops that sat on the leaves. They flickered so brightly it made us both giggle.
When I returned from our excursion, I decided that I needed to do something with my back yard. Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘If you build it they will come?’ Well, that was certainly the case with me. I went on to create a charming little fairy garden. There were many pretty flowers, lavender and lots of heather. It was awe-inspiring to feel the tranquility and to see the loveliness in my own garden that had been brought back to life. The colourful butterflies enjoyed it too!
Around that time I was very fortunate to make friends with a lovely gentle soul, my dear friend Diane. She had stories and warm memories of seeing fairies when she was five or six years old. Her father had kept a beautiful garden in Sussex, England. It was filled with gorgeous roses and a variety of flowers and shrubs. They even had a vegetable patch with an abundance of rhubarb leaves. Diane remembers seeing adorable little fairies and describes them as having vibrant rainbow colours. They lived in her garden and would fly around with their tiny, translucent wings. Sometimes she would see three at once. She often reflects back to that joyful period of her life when she was a part of their enchanted world.
I believe that it was Diane who brought the fairies to me. Every time she would come to my house I would feel more enlivened by these mystical creatures. My creativity started to blossom, the energy of the fairies will often help to bring out your inspiration.
Fairies are attracted to many different kinds of crystals and stones. This is another natural dwelling place where if you are fortunate enough, they can be seen. They help to remind us to be more gentle and tender with ourselves and other people.
I went on to build my fairy bedroom. This helped to encourage a very alluring and peaceful space. My husband, by this time, thought I was really away with the fairies!
You see, no matter how old we get, we still have the child within us, if we would only allow ourselves to believe in the wonders of life again. You never know, one day you may be surprised whilst walking through the woods. The next time you feel something tickling you, it may well be a sprinkle of fairy dust. So whether or not you believe in the enchanted world of fairies, isn’t it about time you brought out your playful side? Be adventurous!
Don’t you think it is time to let your spirit dance?

Quantum Biofeedback EPFX is a highly advanced technology which can energetically detect up to 9,000 different stressors in the body and send signals to make energetic corrections and re-balance the system.
Many people are familiar with the concept of biofeedback from its original popularity in the late 60’s/70’s. The idea of relieving stress by monitoring and correcting the body’s responses with a computer is not new. But times have changed!
The EPFX measures one’s reactivity to over 9000 frequencies associated with the human body.
With the profound shift in consciousness that is occurring on our planet, we are witnessing how this shift is influencing our evolving fields of medicine and the healing arts. The paradox is that we are returning to our source, to our oldest form of medicine "ENERGETIC MEDECINE" experienced through technology. East and west, spirituality and science are coming together in the revolutionized Quantum biofeedback EPFX therapy.
What is Quantum Biofeedback EPFX?
It is: Quantum Physics…Applied to Biology…Experienced Through Technology.
"Quantum physics" is the study of the smallest particles, how they interact with each other and the influences of invisible forces upon those particles. These discoveries support the concept of an invisible force connecting us all. Through the focus of attention and intention of the observer, measurable changes take place in scientifically predictable and repeatable ways.
Science has shown us that the body is indeed electric, that all matter has its own vibrational frequency. Everything and everyone, emotions, feelings, thought forms, viruses, bacteria, neurotransmitters, vitamins, mineral, disease, organ, sound, and colors all have resonant frequencies. Each has a characteristic electromagnetic waveform and a peculiar electrical charge. Therefore electrical reactivity in the body can be measured via responses to impedance, amperage, voltage, capacitance, inductance and frequencies with the EPFX device. It measures 16 standard electrical parameters of the body beyond just simple resistance.
This ingenious software was the invention of Professor William C. Nelson, a former NASA scientist, physician, physicist and mathematician. It is safe and non invasive biofeedback. EPFX is also registered with the FDA and can be used for stress detection and stress reduction. Its beauty lies in its simplicity of use and powerful healing stimulation by harnessing the tremendous capacity of the human system for self-healing. By addressing the mind/body and soul as a whole, healing and transformation potential are greatly enhanced as the conscious and unconscious work together.
How it works... and what can it do for you?
The EPFX device uses the biofeedback principle to identify abnormal and aberrant frequencies within the body. The system uses a computer to scan a person’s body like a virus-scan does on a computer, looking for everything from viruses, deficiencies, weaknesses, allergies, abnormalities and food sensitivities. It reports on the biological reactivity and resonance in your body and indicates needs, dysfunctions and vulnerabilities. It measures an individual’s evoked potential or reactivity to over 9000 frequencies associated with the human body which are contained in an internal test kit in the device. It then distributes the information to over 200 programs, all of which are safe, self-monitoring either on intensity, duration or as to when the clients has received the degree of therapy they can currently assimilate. The information provided is fundamentally different from x-rays, blood test, etc, as it tells us about the energetic state of your body and the direction in which the body is focusing its energy.
The "X" in EPFX refers to "Xrroid" and is defined as the testing of a patient’s Electro Physiological Reactivity to thousands of substances at biological speed of 1/100 of a second, therefore resonates with thousands of tissues, organs, nutrients, toxins and allergens for one hundredth of a second each. It then records the degree to which your body reacts. It is then possible to bring imbalanced resonant frequencies back into harmony as these frequencies can then be given back to the person at a high speed in order to bring the body into a more natural state of homeostasis.
It can energetically balance the various systems in the body such as the nervous system, endocrine/hormonal system, digestive system, immune system, musculo-skeleton system and emotional. The body isthen brought into integration to expedite its own healing process. Then certain lifestyles and dietary issues will need to be addressed to continue benefit.
EPFX picks up tendencies, rather than diseases as only medical doctors can diagnose disease. However, the EPFX is a powerful tool in preventive medicine. Safe, non-evasive and drug free. It helps the body become more reactive, therefore stimulating the healing and creating a "wake up" to the presence of disease, and then reduce the stress of the symptoms. Stress reduction being a primary approach to recovery or health maintenance.
Studies have shown that excess stress is one of the pathways to disease. 70 % of disease is stress related caused from environmental, physical, mental, social, emotional, psychological, political, business, financial or spiritual . You may experience anxiety, depression, disease, pain, fatigue, or unbalanced emotions that can be harmonized, to reduce the stressors that can create disease. It is a very relaxing way of reducing stress and balancing the body. Many people immediately feel better after their session. Some people may feel tired or experience some pain following the session. Most people though, report they’ve had a good night’s rest, awaking the next morning feeling wonderful, more centered and energized. This is natural because your body automatically goes into a healing mode.
How long does it take?
Although the session can vary from 30 minutes to 2 hours, the entire testing process takes about 3 minutes. The signals are sent and received through contact points on the client through a comfortable headband with light wrist and ankles straps which contains sensors. The system can also be calibrated to do distance healing over the phone which utilizes subspace. In quantum physics, subspace means that all energy is interconnected, so distance becomes irrelevant in the energy healing process.
After the testing is over, the results come up on the computer showing the stressors that are potentially affecting the client. Stressors can be any number of things - nutritional deficiencies such as vitamins, minerals and amino acids, parasites, past and presents infections, injuries, and allergies just to name a few. Because the machine has such diverse data about stressors, it is able to identify them, rate them as to severity, and then the proper therapy can be run to energetically correct the imbalance.
Who is it good for...
Everyone, from the very young to the elderly. Athletes can use this system to become more self confident, it assists one to destress as needed. A useful tool for anyone suffering from acute or chronic problems, this powerful healing modality is designed to empower you to become more consciously aware, and to actively participate in your own healing and well being. Now is the time to enhance the quality of your life.

Tantra Yoga, is an often misunderstood holistic health practice that helps clear the chakras. It embraces teachings of ancient wisdom from Tibet, India, Africa and Indigineous people all over the Earth connected with self-awareness. Tantra integrates spirituality, sexuality, emotional and physical wellness. Simply put...
Tantra Transcends!
Three Keys of Tantra are:
1. Breathe — simply by filling our lungs with air, each and every breath we take nourishes every cell in our body. Breath is the bridge between the conscious & subconscious mind.
"Breathing is the best aphrodisiac
of all. Breath is the ultimate
exhilarating
catalyst of sexual pleasure."
G. & K. Hendricks
2. Movement — all exercise keeps us flowing. ie. yoga, running, kayaking, gardening, massage, bodywork, or walking prepare one for well-being.
3. Sound — expresses our emotions ie. toning, singing, sighing, or laughing.
Tantra expands our awareness of our sexuality to include our whole energy system, grounded in the root chakra. When sexual energy is stuck in the first chakra, we become dis-eased or numb.
"Your life problems can basically
be reduced
to your sex problems." Osho
Tantra encourages us to own our sexual energy, by embracing this creative source energy. This is our natural energy. We learn to connect our desires to love, developing compassionate communication skills, clarifying our visions, and connecting with Spirit (moving energy up through the chakras, releasing resistance & old patterns).
"Sex is not wrong, You are wrong
to be stuck on the
lower rungs of
the ladder." Osho
Tantra teaches us to include prayer and affirmations in our everyday lives.
Every cell of our body responds to our thoughts & feelings. When we take responsibility for changing, by consciously choosing what to think and how to feel, we can create a healthy, abundant, joyous life.
"Affirming, declaring, deserving
and allowing are the steps
to
consciousness." Louise L. Hay
Tantra embraces all spiritual traditions, encouraging you to explore your own unique spiritual path. Tantra balances yin and yang energies, honoring the Goddess as equal to God.
"Her only instruction . . . is to love
yourself . . .urging us to live
and love
totally, which often conflicts with
our
conditioning." Sarita & Geho
I compare our sexual self to our inner child. This may be a wounded, repressed, denied and exploited part of ourselves who deserves our loving attention, acceptance and creative expression.
Tantra creates balance by dissolving misogyny and self-denial.
"The greatest healer is Love." Louise L. Hay
"We are total Love. We are Divine power
that

There are so many things in life that we would like to change about ourselves and others. And yet there are also many things we could change if we could only see things differently about something or someone.
Where does the desire to make a change come from? Is it to make things better or more comfortable for us, or so that we will feel more loved? What’s underneath this desire for change? Is it the need for control? Is it the need for MORE of something or someone?
It’s ironic that we think the change we want will bring us more peace, when in fact it is exactly the opposite most of the time. The truth is "To be truly at peace is achieved only through accepting things the way they are!" So, I guess we desire change more than we desire peace. "Do you want to be right or happy?" I believe we can be both.
When we are in our Right-Mind, feeling the love that we are as the One Spirit in many forms, we are truly alive and at peace. This is the place in us that knows the truth of our Being in every moment. Our RightMind is always right here waiting for us to notice the peace that is available in the midst of life’s many challenges. Right Mind can give us the perspective that Everything is Working Out Perfectly—even when we can’t feel it, EWOP! RightMind says "it’s all good! The good, the bad and the ugly are all family."
Sometimes it’s so hard to forgive someone for something (you think) they did. This is caused by making what they did so IMPORTANT! So, in order to truly forgive them you will need to make what (you think) they did, UNIMPORTANT! How is this done? The only way that I have found effective for me is to deepen my connection to God and release it to Source. I go inside and make my love for Life and my love for God MORE IMPORTANT than what (I think) someone did to me. I ask the Holy Spirit to release me from the burden of my judgment. Then I breathe and I focus ALL my attention on their innocence and their Holiness. Then I say to myself, "This too is a child of God worthy of love, even from me!"
The other fear we have of letting go of someone or something is that when we let go, there will be an empty space inside, a vulnerability opened up within us. So, we hold that person or that grudge a little tighter. It’s like having all these helium balloons that we are holding on to, filled up with our resentments and judgments. When we have so many of them, we can no longer see the sky and we begin to lose our ground. We like the colors and we play with them until the helium gets weak. Then, one day we see that they are just silly balloons and we let them go. One at a time they disappear into the sky. We see them getting smaller and smaller, becoming less and less important.

Dowsing began with using a forked tree branch to find a place to dig or drill for water, but it has grown far beyond that today. I have been passionately on my spiritual path for over thirty years, and dowsing combined with prayer and blessing is the most powerful spiritual tool I’ve ever found. Dowsing is a sacred process that allows us to tune into the subtle but powerful energies that are everywhere around and within us, behind the scenes in life. We can use prayer and blessing to change the energies, within and around us, to be beneficial and supportive of what we want to bring into our lives. I have made many discoveries in my dowsing research through the years, the most significant being my "Kabbalah connection to dowsing."
Dowsers often work with beneficial and detrimental subtle energies. Beneficial energies strengthen us and detrimental energies weaken us. Many of these energies run in straight lines. In 1996, I began finding lots of straight lines of subtle energy in homes, intersecting each other in high-use areas. Intersecting lines of subtle energy create even stronger energy fields of spiraling vortexes. Some of these energy lines were detrimental, creating detrimental vortexes, but most were beneficial.
I began noticing a repeating pattern of these energy lines around beds. As the years passed, I found more and more elements of the complete pattern. I soon realized that these "bed pattern" energies were closely tied to whoever was sleeping in the beds. If someone were ill or going through difficult times in life, imbalances showed up as detrimental energies in the pattern around his or her bed. Correcting the imbalances with prayer and blessing seemed to help people heal and deal more effectively with their life issues.
I had many questions: What is this pattern? Why does it affect us so much? Why can we change it so easily? I got my answers in June 1999, after I had found enough of the complete pattern—the Bed Pattern is the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, a symbol that has been studied by students of Kabbalah for thousands of years. Kabbalah is an oral teaching that has been handed down from teacher to student since the time of Moses. It has been adapted into many spiritual traditions, including Christianity, Eastern religions, and many Mystery Schools. Kabbalah is the essence of Jewish mysticism and the Tree of Life is the central feature of Kabbalah. Kabbalah tells us that the Tree of Life is a living pattern of energies put into place as the first act of Creation. According to these ancient teachings, everything in creation is patterned after the Tree of Life.
As my research continued, I realized that the Bed Pattern is actually the Human Energy Pattern. It is part of our being and goes with us everywhere we go, like a vehicle of God’s Light that we travel through life in. We "hook up" to the energy centers in our our personal Tree of Life through what I call the "two lights of the soul." We imprint this pattern where we sleep and are directly connected to our Bed Pattern energies. Imbalances in our lives manifest as imbalances in our Bed Pattern and our Human Energy Pattern. Correcting the imbalances in our patterns helps us resolve the issues and heal the health conditions related to those imbalances.
The images below compare the Bed Pattern to the Tree of Life. The rectangle represents the edges of the bed. Intersecting lines of energy create vortexes in the Bed Pattern. These vortexes relate to the ten energy centers, or Sefirot, in the Tree of Life. The Sefirot represent the ten attributes of God in mankind.

I call my Kabbalah connection a "discovery," yet I don’t believe I have really discovered anything. It has been revealed to me. I believe that one of the main reasons I came to this Earth is to receive this gift and share it appropriately with others. I am blessed to be able to share my understandings with sincere spiritual seekers, helping them to heal, grow spiritually, and take charge of their lives.

In the last issue, I introduced you to the world of the Indigos. I described their unique characteristics, and some of the challenges that they face coming into this world. My firm belief is that being Indigo is two-fold: first, recognition of it is important and you’re 50% of the way there, and second, which is perhaps the most important, what does one do with that recognition? The ultimate question then is how to BE Indigo amidst the changing world around us, as well as how parents and educators can better understand the Indigos among us. Here is a short list of tips and strategies for parents, caregivers and educators:
1. Show them respect. Indigos and even non-Indigos, especially children, are wise beings in small bodies and age. Treating them as equals is necessary for their well-being and process through life. If you don’t show respect towards them or talk down to them, they will know it, resent it, and in turn won’t respect you. They come from the place of understanding that all beings are equal. It’s important to acknowledge them in return.
2. Be fair and honest with your communication and behaviour towards them. Be direct in your communication without any guilt trips or manipulation tactics. Indigos are very intuitive and can sniff out deceitful behaviour or superficiality. It’s like a Beagle in an airport. You can’t put one over on them. So don’t even bother trying. Indigos are intelligent and usually show great maturity in comparison to their age. Try to give as complete and honest explanations for everything.
3. Always explain the Why’s to everything that you say and do. Indigos do not accept the notion of blindly ‘doing’ things. ‘Because I said so’ will not work. They always need to know and understand why they are being asked to do something, and what the underlying purpose is. Otherwise it’s meaningless to them. So always explain, a simple form will do.
4. Acknowledge their abilities, sensitivities and knowingness. Being intuitive, being sensitive on many levels is normal for an Indigo. They are naturally tapped into multi-levels of awareness. It is part of who they are, and they consciously know it and show it. Do not discount or negate what comes out of their mouths. It is not in their imagination. Acknowledge and accept the normalcy, despite the fact that it may run contrary to what you believe or feel.
5. Be patient with their desire to be contrary. This can be by far one of the most challenging. Far too often, having a child that is constantly ‘contrary’ can be misconstrued as ‘talking back’, ‘argumentative’ or ‘difficult’. To an Indigo, the purpose of their ‘contrary’ nature is not to be difficult, but actual reveal angle or sides to a situation. So be patient, open and receptive. You just might end up seeing something new.
A brief word about several coping strategies directed to Indigos, especially teens and adults:
1. Know you are here for a purpose. Where you are going in your life may not totally be apparent at this time in your life. Being Indigo is about process, which includes awakening to it and transitioning from the recognition and into the active Being of it.Your purpose and reasons for being here unfolds over time, and you have much to contribute. While there may be many, and I mean many, moments of frustration especially since your purpose may be not apparent, know that you need to hang in there. The Indigo process is like the bulb in the ground, you may not see the flower yet, but that does not mean nothing is happening underneath. Patience is key.
2. Your strong emotions ie. anger, frustration are often the impetus to change. I liken this to the bowling ball analogy. In order for the ball to roll, you need a force behind to push it and get it going. Strong emotions are normal, however, understand that the expression of those emotions can be used to effect change and get something happening. It is equally important to bring yourself into balance as much as possible because the continuous roller coaster of emotion can be taxing. Take a walk, surround yourself in nature, meditate, use aromatherapy, and/or doing something creative. These are all effective in centering yourself, especially when you are waiting for the next tidal wave of emotion to hit.

Most of us have an intellectual understanding of the feminine and the masculine but few actually experience a balance of the feminine and masculine energies and yet, this is what could save the world.
We relate to the masculine or the feminine according to the male or female roles we have fallen into, doing certain things because we feel we are supposed to. We often associate the feminine with victims and dependence and the masculine with victimizers and aggressors. Neither of these stances is desirable. These are the untrue masculine and untrue feminine truths.
We are in our untrue feminine when we are needy, manipulative, heartbroken and feeling guilty. We are in our untrue masculine when we are controlling, competing, overachieving and have unrealistic expectations. Men can operate in their untrue feminine just like women can operate in their untrue masculine and vice versa.
We used to perceive the masculine as being active, strong, determined, assertive, and confident. Those were qualities that we learned to value and develop regardless of our gender. Women at one time were considered weak, unsure, shy, passive, and insecure. These were not qualities we wanted to emulate.
Balance exists in all things. The extent to which we are independent is the extent to which we are dependent, something we judge as being undesirable or weak, therefore deny or reject. The extent of our denial is also the extent to which we will judge others as being needy. We may tend to reject these individuals, ultimately rejecting a part of ourselves. The repetitve cycle is repeated, damaging relationships and avoiding intimate contact.
Men have rejected their feminine side feeling it inferior and devalued. Men have tried to live up to the tough manly figure that society expects. Women have discarded their feminine ways to make it in a male dominated environments.
This has created a world of men and women whose masculine side has been overdeveloped and whose feminine side remains hidden from view. Can we not see these effects in our world? Could we not use more compassion, gentleness, understanding, forgiveness, empathy and sweetness? Both women and men have these natural gifts of the feminine but they have been judged, stored, or thrown away.
The truth is that the feminine and masculine aspects are both needed to be whole. An individual who is very active in some aspect is also very passive in another. What is your most and your least favorite attribute? Owning them both is required to have the complete picture and to evolve.
Different circumstances and situations call for a different set of qualities, yet we all have the necessary qualities needed for a particular situation. Ultimately, we must decide to make an effort to correct our mistakes, value ourselves once again and bring balance back into our lives.
Interdependence is about equality, teamwork and cooperation. It’s about knowing when to talk and when to listen, when to act or be still, when to reason and when to use our intuition. It’s about giving from a true place and allowing ourselves to receive. The feminine is about receiving while the masculine is about giving. There needs to be a balance between the two. What we see is too much giving from an untrue place, which causes exhaustion and burn out. To seek balance takes courage, courage to look honestly at ourselves, to allow change to happen and to heal.
Balance can be reached by addressing different angles. Balanced hormones create overall balance and well-being, mentally, emotionally and physically. Is the high incidence of breast cancers, prostate disease and prostate cancers, endometriosis and fibroid tumors indicators of imbalances of the feminine and masculine energies? A women’s chance of surviving malignant breast cancer is about the same as it was 50 years ago despite enormous amounts of money spent in research and risky treatments. As for men, 40% of them will experience prostate disease by age 50 and 70% by age 60. Is the conventional approach really working?
Mentally, striving for balance means being willing to look at our attitudes and beliefs regarding the feminine and the masculine. Emotionally, it generally means being willing to look and heal relationships with our mother (feminine pattern) and our father (masculine pattern). Spiritually, it means to look at our relationship with our creator, our god and goddess. Have we ever considered god to have a feminine side?
The world needs both the masculine and feminine energies. All of us need to heal some aspect of ourselves. The ones with the most courage will lead the way. It is our responsibility collectively to make this world a better place to live.

Wow and a ‘ d o u b l e b u b b l e ’ Wow... (that was for all of you Sponge Bob fans!) Spring is here - summer is around the corner and it’s a great time for being alive even if you’re a cat or mouse. What a thing for the pair of us to say! Why not come out of the haystack and admit it, the pup actually like cats and ‘heavenly jumpcakes’ some cats even find the odd mouse a treat and we don’t mean to eat!
Perhaps it was the universal conditioning of the computers when the word mouse became a new terminology...who knows! But the only thing we know for sure is we animals have feelings like everyone else. The fairies would no doubt say even bugs do - which is something to consider when digging in the garden this year. Bless the worms and all that creep and crawl.
Recently the Crystal Pup told me a story about his friend’s cat...
One summer she had to go away for an extended period of time, and although she had made PLENTY of arrangements for kitty sitters to come by, there were obviously many long hours the cat spent alone. Her big old buddy was actually the rodent prince of the neighborhood, often dropping mice and rats on the doorstep to prove the world was safe for his master. He was actually rather proud of his skills, after all, taking on a rat can be an overwhelming adventure and not one for the faint of heart.
At the end of a successful trip she met her beloved friend and was greeted with the ‘snub treatment’ kitties are sometimes famous for. Although things returned to normal, she noticed some changes in his behaviour. The final proof that something was clearly amiss came when she realised there was actually a mouse living in the house. When she pointed it out to him she was shocked to discover he was not interested. As she prepared to set a live trap she really questioned if her long stay had triggered a depression in her friend. By the way, this can happen. So as the story goes, just as she was close to calling the kitty counsellor, she caught the mouse herself. and proudly sent it back to a distant field. "There you go", she announced as the cat came in, "the mouse is gone." The cat looked at her in disbelief, "You’re not the only one who can catch a mouse," she said. The cat sniffed around to be sure, then he whirled around and stared as only a cat can - right through her. He was visibly upset, she did not need the services of an animal communicator to tell her, the fact was the mouse had become his friend, his summer companion. Who knows why, it simply was so.
Of course she was beside herself, but it was too late, the mouse was gone. We share this story because it is important in these days of love, forgiveness and gentle understanding to CHECK before you make assumptions, to ask for some opinions if your decision will also affect the lives of those around you. There is so much more than meets the eye...something fascinatingly invisible.
Like the fairies in the garden who enjoy helping you make things grow, there is often an education that goes with it. You may notice your pets following something invisible around in the air...very well could be fairies, some kittens will jump and try and catch them. That’s the time to explain that fairies are our friends and a careless claw can damage their tiny wings.
Animals do understand when you speak and most will actually listen to what you say, so give it a try. You might feel a little foolish at first, but your relationship with your pet will deepen to a point where you’ll wonder how you ever survived the old way. A joyous bond will develop..a loved based on equality and truth.
Now these BIG PAWS have some exploring to do. Have a PURR-fect summer and ‘slather’ some sunscreen on your nose!
I believe change is a constant in this human experience. As long as I am breathing I am in the process of change. My job is to be aware of my feelings about change. Can I accept change? Do I withdraw from the challenges that sometimes arise as a new change is introduced?
How often have you wondered what your relationship to change feels and looks like? I was recently surprised to learn that I have some resistance to change… surprise… the never ended quest – to accept what is...
I remind myself that change is easy. There are times when I am tested to believe this truth. I affirm that Change is Easy and welcome the support to assist me in creating this new reality.
I watch for the evidence that change is easy… I call about a problem I’m having with my computer – a change is made and I adapt… I discover that my phone line is faulty – I call for technical assistance – the change occurs almost seamlessly… My hair grows and my physical appearance changes… I am in constant change and change is easy.
Sometimes my resistance to change attempts to make things difficult… When I notice this, I ask myself to relax and be present with the challenge – I then affirm… "Change is Easy" and guess what? IT IS!
TODAY, I Accept...
Change is easy
The answers to my questions
come easily
There is nothing to fear
Everything
happens in divine right action
And so it is...

Energy Healing has been evolving for thousands of years. The ancient Hindu system of healing identified chakras prior to 2500 B.C. Yogis have viewed the chakra system as an integral part of holistic healing for centuries. Energy healing has been growing in demand and popularity and its longevity is a testament to its effectiveness.
According to the science of quantum physics we are in fact 99.99% empty space filled with vibrating atoms!
The most common misconception we believe is that our bodies are solid, however, according to the science of quantum physics we are in fact 99.99% empty space filled with vibrating atoms. We are literally made of energy that is attuned to the Mother Earth because our entire body vibrates at the same frequency as hers. A recently released movie called "What The Bleep Do We Know" sheds light on this topic.
The premise of Empathic Energy Healing is that we each have our own energy (life force or soul). There are 49 energy fields (receptor sites) that run through the physical body called chakras. It is believed that physical illness first begins in the chakras by blockages, negativity or holding someone else’s energy within the body. The 7 major chakras run along the spine next to glands in the physical body and each has functions pertaining to our 4 levels of being (emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual). Keeping our own life’s force clean, clear and flowing freely through our body is integral to feeling well on all 4 levels.
We each have our own vibration; unique to us that resonates with our physical being. Our life force distributes vital energy to the physical glands and organs in the body, through the bloodstream and nervous system for optimum health and an overall state of well being.
Balancing our energy and moving out the blockages that are causing physical or emotional symptoms is how healing is achieved. Imbalances occur when one chakra has too much or too little life force. All are connected and interrelated directly affecting each other. Energy can become blocked by physical or emotional trauma, negative thought patterns, or simply by inadvertently allowing other people’s energy to enter our body (common in married couples).
Empathic Energy Healing is achieved through the healer’s ability to sense a client’s emotional and physical symptoms of dis-ease (pain, discomfort, or even more severe illnesses such as cancer). The healer may feel this, as mild physical discomfort within his or her own body or through intuitive insight he or she will receive to know what the client needs help with.
One example of this is headaches, which are common for many people. The imbalance of having too much energy flowing into the head can cause head pain. Empathic Energy Healers have the ability to sense this and have had great success helping people relieve their headaches simply by reducing the amount of energy flowing in the head.
Our thought patterns change us on a cellular level. This is why it’s so important for us to think positive. Literally, we are what we think and our thoughts create our reality. Healing begins with a positive attitude and willingness to change.

If your heart skips a beat at some of the 50’s movies you’re going to love this recording An Affair To Remember by Beegie Adair with the Jeff Steinberg Orchestra. Adair and the pearly whites of the piano have been interpreting music and pleasing audiences over and over again. Jazzing it up a beat.. Chris Cortez with Hold It Right There and Mum Is The Word is sure to keep your fingers and toes tapping. Traditional jazz, blues, latin influences with a dash of humour mixed in. Mum is a reflection of ‘picking up a steel string acoustic guitar while "Hold It" represents his normal hollow-body jazz guitar. Whatever the instrument, Chis plays for you with a versatility he is known for - original tunes or old favorites - the man can play. wwwchriscortez.net
String Planet (Novi and Larry) is a fascinating change of pace. The two main instruments are a Viola and the Stick! Yes indeed, and what is a stick you ask? "a string section posing as a 2x4 since the long narrow, upright, electric instrument has 6 bass strings tapped with the left hand and 6 melody strings played with the right hand allowing one to simultaneously play rhythm along with chords, harmonies or melody parts.. Fascinating indeed. "What’s the flavor?" Exotic, unique, exciting,verse/ chorus/bridge structure going for that hooky pop song appeal" and at the same time there are overtones of a "classical crossover"! www.stringplanet.com
Well what can we say about this final CD! Shad Weathersby Chomp Chomp Music for Children. Shad mixes education and the ridiculous. From calenders, to colour yellow, to a disobediant roach, sausage dog, or a flying elephant, the chomp chomp caterpiller, to some of history’s finest like Columbus. It’s a kids album and you can clearly hear the kids singing with him on many cuts. Fantasy, feelings and just plain perfectly silly, you’ll smile at some of these - regardless of how old you are. www.shadweathersby.com
So, ‘happy sunshine’ to you all and may ‘the child within’ flourish, until we meet again!
On May 4–8 two very special events will be happening simultaneously in Nanaimo.
‘The Mystical Arts of Tibet’ featuring the monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery will showcase their traditions in two beautiful events: the creation of a sand mandala and a live performance of "Sacred Music Sacred Dance for World Healing" at the Port Theatre.
Across the street at the Best Western Dorchester Hotel "An Intentional Gathering for Peaceful Transformation" cosponsored by ‘The Sands of Peace’ will give the public an opportunity to participate in creating a much simpler sand mandala for peace. Beautiful inspired music will be playing during this creative process. No artistic ability is required and all ages are invited to attend. This free event is part of a 5 day gathering and will be open to the public on Friday May 6 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday May 7th from 2 – 4 p.m.
Like-minded individuals intent on fostering peace within themselves and the world are welcomed to add their own unique vibration of love to the mandala. The project is based on the concept that a group of people united together in love can have an enormous impact on the energy being created. When energy fields are synchronized, they can generate immense, exponential power. For example, the power of two people intentionally holding a vision of peace would be four times that of a single person (2 x 2), and the power of 10 people holding that vision would be 100 times that of a single person (10 x 10). A large gathering of 1,000 unified in peace would have one million times the praying power of a single person (1,000 x 1,000).
The quartz crystal family that will be present at the Dorchester Hotel will have a powerful effect on the overall energy being created. Quartz crystal carries within itself an innate intelligence. It has the ability to hold, receive, magnify and transmit thought form. For this reason we are able to program computers, run video games, keep our clocks accurate and provide laser technology in the medical field. In this way they can also be used to hold, amplify and radiate the vibration of love.
The sand being used to create our mandalas of peace is made from the quartz crystal family. The color of this crystal sand also has a profound affect on our physical bodies; green to heal, blue to calm, yellow to uplift and red to excite.
In addition, we will also have over 1111 Madagascar sceptre crystals to assist us in raising our vibration. These six-sided master sceptres, held in copper pipes, will be set in sacred geometric patterns over the five day period.

I would personally like to thank and honor these beautiful monks who continue to uplift and inspire me with their awe-inspiring creations and compassionate ways. While traveling through Tibet 15 years ago I had my first encounter witnessing these sacred sand mandalas. With the greatest of gratitude, the idea of The Sands of Peace Project was born with the intention of fostering peace within, then radiating outwards.

MYSTICAL MONKS VISIT VANCOUVER ISLAND
The Mystical Arts of Tibet, featuring monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery, arrive May 4th for a five day celebration of their arts and culture. The monks will showcase their traditions in two beautiful events: the creation of a sand mandala and a live performance of "Sacred Music Sacred Dance for World Healing". The 2005 Mystical Arts of Tibet tour only makes two stops in BC, at The Port Theatre in Nanaimo and the Sid Williams Theatre in Courtenay. Don’t miss this rare glimpse into a vanishing culture!
Over a period of days spent in quiet concentration, the monks will construct an exquisite sand mandala. From all the artistic traditions of Tantric Buddhism, that of painting with coloured sand ranks as one of the most unique and beautiful. The process begins with a special opening ceremony on May 4th at 6:00 pm as the lamas consecrate the site and call forth the forces of goodness by chanting and reciting mantras. Over the next three days, using traditional metal funnels, they carefully lay millions of grains of coloured sand into an intricate design. A unique closing ceremony, in which the creation is destroyed shortly after its final completion, symbolizing the impermanence of life, starts at 10:00 am on May 8th. Sand is offered to audience members and the remainder is deposited into Nanaimo’s harbour for the tides to carry it throughout the world for planetary healing. The public is invited to observe the entire mandala process, and FREE admission will be granted to the Theatre each day.
On Friday, May 6th at 7:30 pm the multiphonic singers will perform live on stage after a full day of peaceful mandala creation. The concert is produced with the blessings of His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, and features a unique type of singing where the monks simultaneously intone three notes of a chord. Tibetan instruments accompany the voices including 10-foot long dungchen trumpets, drums, bells, cymbals and gyaling horns. Rich brocade costumes and masked dances, such as the Dance of the Sacred Snow Lion, add to the evening’s exotic splendour.

Hawaiian Huna is the sacred spiritual teachings of Hawaii. Huna means secret, hidden, esoteric, not obvious. The purpose of Huna is to expand the knowledge, awareness and capabilities of the conscious mind, the ordinary waking state of consciousness. These teachings are ancient and have been passed from teacher to student for thousands of years. The Huna wisdom is based on the principle of ohana, which means oneness. Ohana is the inherant knowing that we are one with our spirit, others, nature, all that is.
The practical purpose of Huna is personal growth and spiritual development. There is a principle in Huna that describes this process. Holomua, means to progress. This progression is achieved by the application of the Huna principles and practices.
At the heart of the Huna system is the principle of aloha. Aloha is the standard form of greeting in Hawaii. Translated it means "may the breath of spirit be one with you in life." Aloha is a state of mind and a way of being, one’s spiritual nature. It is a way of relating to the world. Aloha also means love, charity, kindness and compassion. What defines its meaning is the intent and the heartfelt emotion behind the spoken word. Aloha is an active word and its essence is meant to be given. It is a form of blessing.
The Huna teachings are a practice based philosophy. There is the dance known as Hula. There is Lomi Lomi massage. There is breath, energy work, meditation and chanting. The psychology, philosophy and principles define its mindset. The Huna mindset is defined as - aloha in action.
The Huna practices, dancing, chanting, meditation etc., build mana. Mana is the power of spiritual energy. Mana energy heals and manifests. The energy of mana empowers and enlightens. Mana manifests the light and love of the Higher Self to be in the hearts and minds of the practitioners of Huna. The practices of Huna build mana. The principles direct it.
In the Kahililani system of Huna, there are 14 principles. There are 7 principles of light (or mind) and 7 principles of heart (or love). The Huna mindset is guided by a series of principles that assist the student to make choices that awaken their spirit potential. Choices that support the action of aloha. They are skill sets to both discipline the mind and develop the mind of the spirit.
The 7 principles of light
Ike - Knowledge We want to learn what we do not know. Knowledge expands the mind. Knowledge plus practice leads to wisdom. Ike is the power of information.
Kumu - Responsibility Kumu is the position of mind that awakens the inherent right to heal, create and manifest in life. It is the power of permission, the god in self.
Mana’o - Intention Intention is a series of decisions made so clearly and continuously that they turn into a wave of light. Mana’o is the power of initiative and action.
Kulana - Attitude Attitude is the ability to look at what is right about a situation. It is a positive, solution - focused point of view. Kulana is the power of possibility.
Manawa - Presence Mana is presence of mind. It is awareness of the now. It is the ability to be grounded, centered and balanced in the now - as you create the future. Manawa is the power of now.
Makia - Attention Makia is the ability to sustain focus and concentration. It is the subjective ability to see the small picture and take care of details. Makia is the power of discernment.
No’ono’o - Reflection No’ono’o is the ability to see the big picture. It is the realm of the witness, contemplation, meditation and reflection. No’ono’o is the power of self - awareness.
The 8th principle of Huna? Aloha - Love and light in action! Aloha is the love and light of the spirit being active in the heart and mind of the Huna student so that the heart, mind and spirit work together as one.
In Huna aloha is potential. Aloha is the light and love of the Spirit or Higher Self, in action. The Huna student is a student of aloha - a student of the Higher Self. The practitioner of Huna is a conscious and active participant in their personal growth and spiritual development. The holomua, the progression. The student of aloha strives towards ohana, bringing oneness to themselves, to family, community, the all.
Kawika David Blaikie, Kahu Kahililani, (Rainbow Rising) is the developer of the Kahililani system of Huna. Kahililani Huna is expressed through workshops and David’s soon to be released book, "The Spirit of Aloha".
Blessings as you are in the midst of some of the most fascinating times in all of your lifetimes. Your earth is in such a powerful state of flux and transition. Miracles happen all around you at the speed of light and still others predict the pending doom of all but the righteous.
WHAT are you to think? First and foremost think for yourself! Do not fall captive to the ‘words of the few’ that seem ‘like the all.’ Following the power of your mass media serves no one at this time, for in the underlying trouble, lies a potential to shift the mass consciousness in a grand loving way. Recall: there is no structure in place for ‘mass discipline’ or ‘debts to be paid’ as some would suggest. The unconditionally loving God would never punish you for making your own decisions on this planet of free will, nor give up or leave anyone behind. The God of Loving Transformation IS a reflection of perfect love and light, as you can be also. The energetic imbalance you see in your world now, is a reflection of major energetic moving and shifting which in the long term will benefit the all. It is good for you to question what you hear and decide what makes sense for you...for there are indeed two parallel dimensions merged/running on planet earth at this moment. Thus you have greater possibilities of how you decide to live your life. Your choices may now be different than the ones your friends make, even though you were accustomed to acting the same in the past.
One dimension is the old way, the world of duality and judgment - a world of competition and hoarding. There are a multitude of symptoms to this plane as you well know. It is the world that speaks of ‘an eye for an eye’, whether it is just or not.
The new path is light and bright and full of miracles. It is the place of loving power of compassion and reverance for all, representing ALL that is sacred and holy within - the spirit of your ancient wise ones. This vibration is founded on equality, regardless of size, age, colour, country, or religion. It speaks to you from your heart of hearts. You know when you are living present because a joy wells up within you and you have uncontrollable desires to do good deeds - to share what you have - to take time for the weak, the poor and the lonely. You are seeing real examples of people rising up to this place. It shows in the faces and auras of those who have gone to assist your tsumani victims around the world. This state of consciousness has nothing to do with what books you have read or courses you have taken, rather, everything to do with following the quiet, loving beat of your own heart. Those who are choosing to remenber who they are and why they came to planet earth at this time KNOW it has everything to do with holding a vision for peace in the universe and dissolving the old consciousness of destruction. The call to the new way is very strong. If that is your vibration, you need to listen, feel and act for yourself.
How do you get closer to this place? Simply expand the power of your love by practicing new habits.Earthings are creatures of habit and some habits you practice are not even your own. You simply follow the crowd instead of standing strong in the tides of change ready to be part of the vibrational wave that shifts the critical mass consciousness. Some begin to acknowledge the true loving leader within, and remember it is never too late to BE that star that you are. Many people on your planet did not shine until their golden years, so it is now.
These golden years resurging, inspire a renewed dedication to creating heaven on earth. Live strong in this dream. Let the winds blow clear around you. You are well supported and closer to your realization than you think, as more people follow the example of the peacekeepers. Catch yourselves resonating with unkind energy and immediately switch to gratitude and blessing. Each time you do, it strengthens you as the power of your obvervation/actions adds to your momentum. Simple!
Pray to BE LOVE and let the Star That You Are SHINE....Beyond Measure!
