Everywhere Our Love Shows
speaking from the heart
I suspect you have noticed ‘the gift’ this year has already given us. It’s hard to put your fi nger on... yet it is ‘perfectly real’ in its illusiveness. It comes with an unusual crispness in the air... a lightness all around, a bounce in people’s steps and smiles where there were none before. It boils down to: As you think it - so it becomes.
I am not saying our lives are free of challenges, quite the opposite. This is a year where some of our most dearly beloved have transitioned to more heavenly realms, leaving us ‘living in a void’. Still, people are rising up to challenges in a new way. They are looking for the gifts within and turning lemons into lemonade. They are truly helping each other - not out of duty - but out of joyful love, understanding and compassion - simply because they can. What a gift, what a miracle in itself.
I have always believed this year -2009- would present special opportunities we seldom see -possibilities to right old wrongs - to seize a moment and ACT. We have been saying on our front cover since 1993 that we are- ‘dedicated to positive thought and ACTION...’ and we say it still. Thinking is a good thing- dreaming is the magic ingredient of new creations, but nothing happens until we actually DO something -however small. The tiniest of steps still propel you forward in the same way that one little spark can light up the world. Thus, in this special year, it seems as if a doorway has opened and all we have to do is turn the handle and watch as endless opportunities pour forth. Call it what you will, a doorway/a gateway/a support system that connects to us with joyful light. It inspires us to trust - to BELIEVE in ourselves again, to KNOW we can do the impossible - especially when our lives are aligned with ‘the source’ of our spirit within. It is truly a year for the ancient, sacred, invisible geometric patterns of peace and forgiveness to come alive and to BE active once again. It is an exciting time when we open the inner-blinds and let our hearts shine, and even better, when we appreciate being here. Good things can spread like wildfi re and although some of those have been known to blow out of control, on the other hand, they have cleared many fresh paths. So it also often appears to be with our own lives.
Rachel Remen, physician and author of Kitchen Table Wisdom, wrote “You can get a lot accomplished if you don’t care who gets the credit.” How true! And so with 4 months remaining, let’s utilize it, let’s just do it - without hesitation - not because of a contract, but just because we can.
We have included many articles in this issue where the authors are truly speaking to you from the heart. No false illusions...rather from a powerpoint of pure love, hoping their words and their thoughts will have some value for you or your loved ones. (Note on pg 31 there is a call for the world to join together on Nov 11 in Peace and Forgiveness.) YES, powerful times Indeed.
So turn the pages. Smile...wipe a tear...nod your head...breathe...and in the final analysis, let life be good to you.
Celebrating Old Friends and ALL The Lovely New Ones..
It’s been awhile since we put ‘the nest’ on page 2, the reason being, something usually comes in after our article deadline that is just ‘too timely’ and I simply HAVE to get it in. So ‘borrowing’ the nest page is the way to do it. Also it seems to me that the ramblings of the editor are often times not necessary at all. In addition it was a place to print letters to the editor and brief reminders about ‘events’ there wasn’t room for in the main pages. However I found that the letters were generally positive (yeah team,) so printing words of praise about ourselves seemed a little ridiculous when I could use that space to inspire you with something new instead.
This issue is different. You’ll see a photo of a woman some of you may recognise as Wendie Webber (Burrows). She was the original owner of Spiritwood Books in Nanaimo, one of the fi rst Metaphysical shops on the Island in the late 80’s. I always loved the way she treated people who walked through her doors-EVERYONE WAS EQUAL and she displayed a loving concern for her patrons that was brighter than the goods on her shelves. I admired her quick wit, kindness and intelligence, topped off with a genuine attempt to serve with integrity. She was truly the instigator for many of you taking bold new steps forward. What most of you don’t know is you would not be reading this page right now if it were not for her. In those days I wondered why there wasn’t a magazine like this one on the island. I even went so far as to say I thought she should expand her store newsletter that had become a mini spiritual adhesive for many people. She laughed as she lovingly stared me down and said ‘Gabriole...I think that’s ‘your’ job. I immediately said ‘absolutely not’. One must be careful using that absolutely word, it always comes back! She smiled and said: “one of these days, you’ll get it”. As you can see, eventually I did. ‘One of those days’ the ‘lights went on and I gave in to my mission... creating a tool where amazing people could come together under one bannerhead and support others who were looking for ‘something’, even if they didn’t know what it was yet. A safe place to learn new things... a testing ground for the ever illusive spiritual gem hiding out as an ordinary word. A place where strangers could become ‘families-by-choice’ and remember to love again through the power of the written word. I believed the (w)holy-vibration that radiated even from a distance could bridge the gap from one heart to another and leap from a page as a spark of loving-light as the letters met the reader’s eye. I imagined pages, not just for adults, but that included the critters and the children (or perhaps the child within; a place where dreaming was the order of the day, but where it was not an excuse to do nothing. ‘Dreaming’ sparked with a healthy dash of Action-to set the wheels in motion. Funny thing is, I still believe it...and it all comes back to Wendie nudging me to get clear about my true path.
She eventually retired from the bookshop and went on to pursue a facination in hypnotherapy and other things. Always a sponge for information, she travelled, studied, practiced, ‘earning’ her titles and credibility. Well, they say things come full circle and since this is THE YEAR for people to rise up and share with everyone else around them. I’m chuckling as I announce that Wendie IS BACK, inspired to step into the center ring again... assisting people to fi nd the clarity in their own path. No Accidents. In a moment of brillance she ‘got it’too, that lots of people could benefi t from her unique approach to assisting them to heal themselves, just like the old days...simply using a different medium. See page 36 to fi nd out what she is doing now.
As for the letters, bless your hearts, they do come in and we love them all. The good ones and the ‘shakerupper’ ones, they inspire me to think of ways to make things better. Your opinions are important. There have been many times that your letters were the reason I went back to the computer to create another issue, when it would have been easier to give it up.
This issue, I wish to acknowlede a letter from Stan S. (no room to print its 3 pages). I am grateful to this man who kindly made the effort to compose- and then actually got up and went to the post offi ce. The letter was complimentary and questioning at the same time. It addressed a topic due to be reiterated on our part. So hats off for the nudge. Stan obviously inspected every word and commented on the absence of the word Christian in our pages, although he noted words of a parallel nature were evident. I was pleased he felt a resonance of similarity, because LOVE as we see it, is not specifi c to a single religion. I do believe it is at the heart of every one. It appears, it is the frills/bells/and whistles they each offer that causes dissention in the ranks of the various pews. We’d like to believe that over the years, our readers have settled into a common courtesy with each others respecting different beliefs and accepting that ONE is really all we are, although the pages seldom look the same. In some issues, you might fi nd the word God or Jesus rubbing shoulders with the doves and crystals. I was brought up Christian myself and although I do not frequent the alters anymore, I do give some credit to my early training for who I AM today. I know I am not alone.
Stan wrote: “May I as an independent Chistian offer a few words: The God in whom I believe pays no attention to belief systems (religious or atheist), loving all unconditionally. All that matters is growing in love from conception to death and beyond death, and living the Golden Rule.”
I’m actually pleased to print his thoughts for you as it is a fi ne example of bringing the best of the past forward to create a new living tapestry. A cloth of many colours where the threads are: Loving gratitude; an ability to say you are sorry-even if you don’t have to; kindness for each other, respect for a source beyond your earthy self; and all the little stitches made of things like...don’t take what isn’t yours...lying doesn’t work long term, ask for some loving guidance when you need it; resonnate with good people, feed the poor and take note in matters of the spirit, they might have an edge on you when you arrive at heaven’s door. Accept other’s beliefs but don’t be swayed away from the ones dear to your own heart. Together, the threads will weave a new picture, to share peacefully with each other, whatever our colour, whatever our sacred design. Much love to you all, it’s a good day to be part of ‘the one’ that makes a difference!

When the winds of change blow
Some people build walls, others build windmills
Ancient Chinese Proverb
When I say No to Thee, I say Yes to Me
These days there seems to be an ever increasing demand upon one’s time. Have you noticed how easily you can get caught up in responding to requests from others, without taking a few moments to refl ect on how the request may impact your own time and desires?
I believe TIME is one of the most precious gifts we have each day. I also believe it is my responsibility to apportion it in ways which support myself. Whether I am at work, in conversation or in a period of refl ection or rest – time is precious…
Ask the questions:
“Is this moment fulfi lling my deepest desire?”
“Do I feel supported in this moment?”
“Could I set a boundary regarding this request?”
“It is OK to say NO?”
One of the pitfalls of saying No to others is the guilt one may feel initially. I know as I say NO to others without placing blame or justifying myself – the connection I share with the individual becomes richer. I am being real about my own expectations and as a result, the other person is supported by knowing my stand.
When one says Yes to a request – when the true desire is to say No – it creates an inner struggle of guilt, blame and judgement. By being honest, our relationships become stronger and the connection shared is more supportive of each other.
I encourage you to become aware of those opportunities for you to say No to those requests which may drain your energy and to say Yes to yourself and notice how good it feels.
Today I…
Say Yes to myself
Accept it is OK to say No to others
Release myself of all guilt
Release the need to blame others
And so it is…

Thinking Out Loud about grief and mourning
Living with Contructive Living
These past several week I have been thinking a great deal about the customs of mourning. It appears to me here in North America that we are nudged to be “OK” as soon as possible following a death and never to impose our unhappy state on others (except for the briefest of moments). In fact, we reward those who act “normal”, carrying on as though nothing has happened. We use words like strong, courageous, resilient, “bounced back” and so on. We are suspicious of grief prolonged. (prolonged being anything more than a few weeks)
I know that I have also been caught in this web. I have experienced death a few times and in recent refl ections realized that there had been no chance to grieve or mourn those losses. I was reminded of an old friend who took a sabbatical from work when his wife was dying and then stayed off work for six or seven months following her death. The latter struck me intuitively, at that time, as a wise thing to do, if not an unusual one.
I am now thinking that ‘activity and staying busy and involved’ isn’t necessarily the antidote to grief. It may be for some but not for all. “Time out” from all of our obligations including social ones may be good “Dr.’s “orders”, and not just for a month. (Each person, of course, will need to fi gure out Dr.’s orders for themselves).
Even though arm bands, black veils and drawn blinds are gone, it may be that we could benefi t from a reprieve from our usual duties, albeit in a sunny room, not a darkened one. A room where we don’t need to talk or greet or comfort another but where food magically appears with a hot cup of tea from time to time, where a fi re is laid and burning. A room where we can fall asleep in the chair and where fresh fl owers adorn the single table and where the cold is banished.
A room where you are automatically excused for not taking calls, answering emails or from trying to cheer up. A room where you are free to expect, at any moment, for your loved one to re-appear; where maybe it has all been a big mistake, all the while knowing - this won’t happen. This room would look out onto trees, birds and water, with a door leading to a path. Where there is no fear of encountering anyone (no matter how dear) who wants to offer comfort or be comforted by you. A cloistered place where one is permitted to be alone with ones thoughts and fears, and prayers and pain. No excuses are needed here, to decline lunch or any social gatherings. No explanations are required.
One day in good time (whenever that is), the desire awakens to move beyond the walls. It is different for everyone. No explanation for staying or leaving is required. Life does indeed move on but not easily or quickly for some, and not at all by the timeline we typically use in our country. We speak a great deal about grief, the internal process of grieving, yet we have few rituals for mourning - how we express that grief externally.
Thus today, I am holding in my heart those who mourn. I want to say that there is more than one right way to go through this pain - that we need to remember to tread gently with our dear ones and ourselves. For some, companionship is the answer, for others, solitude is what helps the most.
An old friend said the way he has dealt with loss is “to place even more value on the friends who are still there, and magnify their importance in his life ...” Of course this is true. It is why we go on living after loss … to be with our loved ones as we journey together and to appreciate them while we have the chance. Certainly we need each other in this life of ours. We need to embrace our humanness, to be held, to speak, to be silent, to weep and grieve and mourn, as well as to celebrate. Together.

Sacred Geometry - the architecture of the universe
Sacred Geometry is referred to as the architecture of the universe - the fingerprint of God. Everything exists and manifests through these sacred geometrical proportions and patterns. Likewise our physical bodies are sacred geometry. Recently our emotions were recorded by hooking people up to EKG machines. What they discovered was that each emotion created a unique sine wave signature, that could be converted into a three-dimensional form.
Sacred Geometry creates interests in both left and right-brained individuals, which has been considered quite rare. It is both an art and a science. For left-brained individuals who fi nd comfort in structure and patterns, their analytical side is stimulated through problem solving, seeking to understand the structure and repetitive sequencing of patterns. They love working with the ‘parts’. For right-brained individuals who enjoy looking at the ‘whole’, sacred geometry allows the intuitive mind to run with wild abandon. It stimulates the heart-mind, allowing mystical expressions in a variety of artistic endeavors. Sacred geometry is like trying to fi nd words where no language can reach. Its simplicity and complexity allows both hemispheres of our brain to work together.
A lifetime can be spent understanding just one aspect of sacred geometry such as The Flower of Life, Tree of Life, The Golden Ratio and Fibonacci Numbers.
The essence of sacred geometry is a single pointedness, a ONEness, unity or unifi ed wholeness that unfolds into duality, yet always returns to oneness. Straight lines represent the male aspect while curved lines represent the female.
The Flower of Life begins as a single point that then radiates out into a circle, which is then duplicated over and over, representing 19 circles surrounded by 2 outer circles. These 2 outer circles were considered extremely important in ancient times. If you look closely at the Flower of Life symbol on page 6, you will notice that there are incomplete circles on the outer edges surrounding the 2 outer circles. It was believed to be too sacred to show the true extent of the completed circles called the Fruit of Life, since those missing circles contained the 13 systems of knowledge. The Flower of Life symbol only represents the feminine.
When adding in straight lines, there can be 13 different ways in which the male can be superimposed over the female. These thirteen unique ways produce a vast system of knowledge that just keeps expanding out farther and farther. By drawing straight lines through the circles, unique patterns emerge. The potentials are endlessly exciting and the teachings definitely sacred

Energetic Alignment
Brings Relief To People & Horses
For individuals who suffer with chronic pain, tendonitis or other conditions that are not responding to Western medicine, a natural healing technique that has proven effective in Europe for more than 20 years is now available on central Vancouver Island.
Known in Germany as the “bedradigung”, this “energetic alignment” technique has proven to aid people with a variety of symptoms and has been documented numerous times on the main European television stations and broadcast media.
Energetic Alignment is a non-invasive, nomanipulation method of moving the spine to straighten the spinal column. It address issues that for many people go back to the day they were born, when the trauma of childbirth set the stage for various conditions. Most common is the undetected difference in the length of both legs which throws the entire body off balance.
This alignment is different from a chiropractic alignment, in that there is no physical manipulation. The good news is most people need only one treatment and do not require ongoing appointments. As you might suspect, the discipline can also be taken to another level. The Energetic Alignment may be combined with acupressure to address constricted muscles and trigger points. In these cases, a few more appointments may be recommended to ensure the muscles “unlearn” their position when pain is present. The main focus is on soft tissue and the body’s ability to heal itself when the meridians (channels of energy) are open and muscles are stimulated with finger pressure to reorient themselves.
Lissy Rauber, a German native and natural health practitioner treats individuals and horses with this healing touch. Yes you heard correctly, horses respond very well to the treatment.
Since this is ‘new’ to most Canadians, people are often “amazed” by the positive changes in their bodies—whether it is relief from physical or emotional pain or just the sensation of feeling more balanced or energized. Many had actually resolved themselves to living with the aches and pains, especially those with back or neck pain, and they adjusted their lifestyles and jobs to avoid aggravating their symptoms of pain.
Lissy says, “Every body endures physical and mental traumas through life, starting with the birthing process. If there is no intervention to relieve muscles that are strained to accommodate the trauma, pain will often worsen over the years and skeletal degeneration often occurs. By using my healing training to open the channels of energy (meridians), I simply help the body heal itself”.
One problem that exaggerates situations is most people with chronic pain resort to painkillers. To alleviate the agony over many years the prescribed drugs get stronger and it seems to keep on going with little relief in sight. Added to that, the side effects of the drugs are often very destructive. After the Energetic Alignment and acupressure, most people report their pain is relieved. The natural healing ability of the body kicks in; it seems like a miracle to some people, but it’s not. The body just needs a little help moving in the right direction, some gentle guidance, so to speak. In addition to remaining free from pain, there is often a dramatic improvement in a person’s balance - no doubt because the legs are equal again.
Horse trainers also speak with amazement about the results seen when lame or sick horses are treated. One horse was so lame, the owners and vet saw this treatment as a “last resort” before euthanasia. The results were so signifi cant, the owner is still riding the horse today. The horse no doubt would throw in all his horseshoes and call that a very lucky day!
One of the many blessings in these times, is the world is getting smaller. When people relocate they bring what is ‘common place’ at home to their new country. Helarion Energetic Alignment truly is a wonderful gift from an old county.
Lissy Rauber sees clients at her Black Creek home office and schedules appointments at Curves in Courtenay as well. She can make house calls for horses, or clients can take their horses to her farm in Black Creek. 250-337-1845
SoulCollage Cards... doing it YOUR way!
SoulCollage® is a Spiritual Practice (that is, it connects us to and nurtures our spirits, and it is something we do). We make a unique set of personal SoulCollage® Cards. In the process our imagination and intuition come alive as if emerging from a long winter slumber. We can then draw one or many cards to provide inspiration and guidance as we proceed on our life’s journey. And the beauty of it is, the inspiration comes from deep within our own soul.
In SoulCollage®, as shown in these examples, we pull images from magazines, books, photographs, cards and calendars. This is always done with respect and gratitude for the artists and photographers who contribute to our ability to create SoulCollage®. We cut the images just so and arrange them on 5 x 8 mat board cards and then glue them down. Every SoulCollage ® card is a work of art. What could be more fun?
SoulCollage® is like a mandala: a complete, circular, unifi ed method of self discovery and self expression. It is as intricate as a Tibetan Sand Painting - the purpose of which is to take a long, loving look at ourselves. In this gentle process we come to understand and accept our own particular story and begin to appreciate how it weaves into the larger story of our local and global community. It is an inspired and generous gift from Seena B. Frost, founder and creator of SoulCollage® .
Story is at the heart of SoulCollage®. Every card you make tells a story and every card also has an energy and a presence all its own.
The cards are grouped around five central themes.
The Committee Suit consists of our inner voices that direct and sometimes mis-direct our lives. For example; The Busy Bee, The Free Spirit, The Inner Critic, The Pleaser, The Dependable One and many more. Like any committee, these voices argue back and forth, demanding to be heard. In SoulCollage® we give them all air-time.
The Community Suit includes all those people alive or dead who are dear to our heart, such as: family, friends, teachers, authors, community leaders and others who impact our lives. Here, we would also include pets.
I treasure all of my 65 Soul Collage® cards and enjoyed making every one. But there is something about The Companion Suit that makes my heart sing. This is the suit that reconnects us with our physical bodies and our animal nature. Through guided imagery, giving our imagination free rein, we discover our animal guides, one for each of the seven energy centers or chakras. Mine include bears, birds and butterflies.
The Council Suit pulls us into the mysterious realm of the universal archetypes. In Seena’s words: “They are metaphors whose images grab and hold us. These are the invisible guides, challengers, creators and destroyers, known across time and cultures by many names, yet somehow, universally in the collective unconscious of the human race.” (SoulCollage® An Intuitive Collage Process for Individuals and Groups by: Seena B. Frost. p. 44/45) They go by many names. Here are but a few to pique your interest: The Great Mother, The Hero(ine), The Warrior, The Pilgrim, The Lamplighter, The Magician.
At the centre of our SoulCollage ® universe are The Three Transpersonal Cards: The Source, SoulEssence and The Witness. Like a many faceted diamond they radiate energy and refl ect the light of each and every card. They transcend our limited personal story.
The Source represents that from which we all emerge and to which we all return. The names ultimately refl ect our personal belief systems. For example, The Unknowable, Ultimate Reality, God, The Void, Buddha, Brahmin, Infi nite Compassion, Great Spirit and others.
SoulEssence is our essential nature, that divine spark, at the very core of our being that wants us to express our unique contribution to the world. It is the driving force that keeps us going in the face of adversity. James Hillman calls it our Soul’s Code in his book by the same title, “The Soul’s Code: In Search of Character and Calling.”
The Witness is the over arching, non-judgmental presence that sees us, walks beside us and calls us to the Quest to fi nd our personal Holy Grail.
The images for these three cards are best discovered in a reverent meditative state. When we do readings, these three cards hold place of honor front and centre.
Seena suggests we make these cards early on in our process; however, there is no dogma in SoulCollage®, only guidelines, recommendations and principles. (See “Principles of SoulCollage®) such as; “SoulCollage® cards are not to be sold, traded, or bartered; they are to be reproduced only for the personal use of the maker of the card. SoulCollage® cards may be shared as examples to illustrate the SoulCollage® process.”
SoulCollage® gives new meaning to the saying, “everyone is an artist.” It is now my daily practice and I look forward to introducing it to Kindred Spirits on Vancouver Island and beyond.

The Atlas Alignment
Our spine is made up of bones, called vertebrae, which are connected together by ligaments and muscles. The vertebrae cover and protect the spinal cord, which carries sensory messages to and from the brain, controlling all of our bodily functions. At the very top of our spine is the vertebra called the cervical (C1) or commonly referred to as the ‘atlas’. To understand how the body may not function correctly if this vertebrae is not properly aligned, it is necessary to have a closer look at the biomechanics of the body.
The fi rst cervical vertebra (atlas) affects the equilibrium of the whole skeleton. It is meant to keep our heads in an optimum position on the cervical vertebrae and give maximum mobility.
Here’s an example. Let’s say that you want to build a high tower made out of wooden blocks. You begin to pile up the blocks with great precision. If you put your top block on your high tower just slightly off its center, the tower will eventually collapse because it is lopsided and has lost its balance. Our spine can be thought of in much the same way. Can you imagine what happens when the weight of our head is held on that lopsided angle of our spine? The ligaments, sinew and muscles, which directly and subtly restore the balance, become strained and compensate for the improper posture.
This misaligned vertebrae can affect the alignment of the entire spine. The spine is like a chain, if the fi rst link is twisted and turned, each link following below will also be twisted and turned, disrupting the entire length of the spine. The human body is balanced when the head is positioned over the center of the feet. When the atlas is misaligned, it causes the head to tilt. The spine then shifts to support the weight of the head, thereby creating biomechanical and postural stresses and strains.
The pelvis may also lose its optimum position. Ninetyfi ve (95%) percent of all seemingly leg-length inequalities can be attributed to a misalignment of the pelvis. Any postural faults of the pelvis will inevitably lead to additional tenseness of the muscles. Misalignment of the pelvis in turn, causes increased stress and strain on the hip joints, knee joints etc and as a consequence, the nerves are disturbed, causing a malfunction of the entire spinal column because they can no longer correctly transmit vitally important signals from the brain.
We can also aggravate this misalignment by sitting in an improper posture: sitting with our legs crossed, twisted and hunched over while we watch TV or work at the offi ce. Combine that with the everyday stress of modern life, such as family conflicts and financial troubles; the combined stress and strain both physically and mentally can wreck havoc on our already overburdened bodies.
The Atlas Alignment or Vitalogie (as its referred to in Europe) is well known in Switzerland and Germany. The effectiveness of this preventative method has been confi rmed in a clinical research study done with 160 patients. Although the symptoms had not been taken into account in any of these cases, the overall well-being of the patients increased by 35% in physical terms and 26% in psychical terms. This result had been achieved in as few as 8 applications, in a period of four to six weeks (on average).
When the atlas bone is properly aligned back to its optimal position, the rest of the spinal vertebrae fall into alignment allowing the body to heal itself. This delicate and complex connection of the nervous system allows communication to flow once again between the systems of the body.

Welfare not Warfare
I have had an astounding number of revelations over the years that I have taught horticulture, but none have been as profound as the realization that the way we have been growing things for the last 50 years or so, is wrong. We were wrong in our methodology, our philosophy and wrong with our science. It is very humbling to have to admit to the hundreds of people I have taught that I was wrong, yet I am anxious to share the lessons I have learned and to correct my mistakes.
It seems that both agriculture and horticulture have gone through many phases in my lifetime. When I was young everyone on my street had a compost pile, and everyone I knew had a garden. My parents never dreamed of spraying poison around the food we were going to eat. It seemed there was no need. My mother was careful to put a bucket of compost, a handful of bone-meal (before bone-meal was contaminated by lead) and a handful of blood-meal under every tomato plant. She planted nitrogen-loving lettuce next to nitrogen-fi xing beans and watered carefully by hand. One of my fondest memories as a child was helping my parents make salsa; grinding the tomatoes, peppers, and onions we grew with a hand grinder attached to a wooden bench that my father brought into the kitchen. The onions of course, were so pungent that we would predictably cry as we were grinding away. We were a strong family and had a strong community.
Somewhere along the line, maybe the late fi fties or early 60’s in my town, compost piles seemed to earn the reputation of being messy, and everyone in town was under social pressure to not have one. The garden seemed to not thrive as it used to. Every year it got smaller and smaller and was fi nally replaced by lawn. Meanwhile, the neighbors had discovered chemical fertilizers. Although they grew giant zucchini and cucumbers they also found that they had a new battle on their hands. There seemed to be sudden invasions of plant eating insects. I guess they fi gured it lucky to be able to run to the store and grab some insecticide to help them in their fi ght. Across the country and throughout a lot of the industrial world farmers were finding themselves in the same situation. It seemed like a wonderful solution to be able to kill the invaders in our farms and gardens with a quick spray of poison. We never stopped to think about the far reaching consequences in both the scientifi c and philosophical realms. We were in the midst of a huge shift away from the harmonious co-existence with earth’s micro-creatures to a full scale war to control them. The very roots of the chemical fertilizer industry lie embedded in warfare. Large factories that had been manufacturing explosives found themselves out of business after World War II. Through the wonders of modern science and corporate lack of conscience, the same chemical substances that make bombs are chemically identical to the chemical fertilizers we use today, and the destruction that they spread is just as frightening. Yet that is the way I was originally taught how to grow things in school, and is the way I grew things as my job as a Horticulture Technician.
Mycorrhizae fungus colonize plant roots and help them break down nutrients. They also form a protective layer around the roots that protect them from disease. They seem to have a mutually benefi cial relationship that is so important to plants and plants have been found to share up to 80% of the carbohydrates they manufacture with the mycorrhizae. Mycorrhizae have been known to help plants share water and nutrient resources with other plants in the same plant community. Unfortunately many of the modern horticultural practices we have been taught destroy mycorrhizae. When we fertilize with chemical fertilizers we often kill these important allies, and inhibit their growth and weaken soil and plant communities. This causes us to need to continually add fertilizer year after year to compensate for the loss of mycorrhizae. Another loss that occurs with chemical fertilizers is that of benefi cial bacteria, which can capture nitrogen right from thin air and make it available for plants. This bacteria can supply up to a third of the plant’s nitrogen needs. There are also decomposers that are present to break down organic matter. When we substitute chemical fertilization for added organic matter, we starve these organisms and the natural cycle is severely disrupted.
The soil is composed of many pieces and parts. There are living and non-living components of the soil, and each component plays an important role in providing the plants that live there with health and nourishment. Sand, gravel, silt, clay and loam are some of the non-living components, along with organic matter that is fully decomposed. The living part of healthy soil has amazing bio-diversity. There are creatures large and small that live there. In soil with good biological diversity there is a balance of creatures, and no one organism completely takes over to the detriment of the others. There are bacteria, fungi, springtails, worms, millipedes, centipedes, ground beetles, and many more. If one organism’s population becomes overly large due to favorable environmental conditions, the organisms that consume them also have a population increase, which will in turn level out the fi rst population. It is a simple and elegant system.
In this system each organism has a job to do. The organisms that we call pests have an important role to play in the ecosystem. Insects and diseases are the clean-up crew. They help plant families stay strong by removing plants that are genetically weak or those that have been weakened by stress from the gene pool, before they can reproduce. This process has insured the survival of the species in the wild for time immemorial. By spraying plants with pesticides instead of allowing nature to take it’s course, we are weakening the entire species and perpetuating our problems. The warfare system is actually working against us, because the more we spray a weak or stressed plant to keep it alive, the more we will need to spray, not only the plant itself, but the future generations of that plant. If we focused our attention on the welfare of the plant we would be much better off. Instead of “shooting the messenger” insect or disease organism that is warning us that our plants need more food, water, or protection, let’s provide our plants with a good, balanced diet of healthy soil, rich in organic matter. By providing proper nutrition to the soil as well as the plant by adding large amounts of compost and organic matter we can nurture the plant–soil community and keep pests in balance. Compost is full of organisms like the mycorrhizae that help us provide food, water, and disease protection to our plants. If we concentrated on the welfare of our plant–soil communities rather than warfare on the organisms that attack the weak, we would be building up much stronger communities that could resist these attacks.
As a Professional Horticulturalist as well as a backyard gardener, I am often struck by profound parallels between plant communities and human communities. It seems to me that our horticultural practices for the last 50 years have refl ected the warfare mentality that we witness in our human community every evening on the news and in every newspaper we read. I can’t help but wonder what would happen if we all made the shift from concentrating on the idea of warfare to concentrating on the idea of true welfare of our human communities. If we diverted money away from warfare and into the true welfare of our fellow humans, if we truly strived to provide good nutritious food, water and protection for the weaker members of society, and those that have been stressed by lack of resources or genetic weaknesses, wouldn’t we be much better off?

A Sincere letter to Women...
Please Don't Leave Your Men Behind!
I acknowledge that this article might be controversial for some people. I appreciate the editors for being brave enough to publish it and I honour the readers for being open-minded enough to read it. This is an important subject, especially during these tumultuous times. I believe our relationships are under a lot of extra stress right now... fi nancial worries, pandemic scares and a long list of other challenging situations are turning up the heat in our lives. Many people are aware that the perceived world chaos is actually part of a beautiful and loving divine plan that requires us to move forward with faith, patience and persistence in all areas of our lives. I feel that women are more aware of this shift in consciousness and for the most part, are embracing the changes. Many men, on the other hand, are confused by the shift - feeling threatened by the changes. So this is a request directed to women – please do not leave your men behind, (or vice versa in some cases).
Our relationships are an important part of the divine plan and right now, they desperately need some tender loving care. So many are in jeopardy! This is an important time to exercise faith, patience and persistence. Some of you might be thinking, “But you don’t know my husband. He is stubborn, lazy, and a pain in the butt and I don’t have a thread of patience left in my body.” You are right, I do not know your partner, but I’m a man and I do know that men need your help. I acknowledge that some relationships run their natural course and are destined to end. However if a relationship ends in a mutual understanding, then usually the karma around it was fulfi lled and the partners can stay connected as friends.
Unfortunately, most breakdowns come with a lot of fi nancial and emotional stress. The partners are often angry and vengeful. The post-relationship becomes a battleground for the “ex’s”and a feeding frenzy as the sharks in suits pick away at the legal leftovers. Regardless of the circumstances that led to the relationship breakdown, -not enough time to make it work, -not enough effort on both partners parts, -a failure in one’s obligation to be a loving partner...I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that many relationship breakdown because men do not grow spiritually at the same rate as women do. The partners literally grow apart. I make this observation based on thousands of interviews and informal discussions I have had with women at tradeshows and meetings, during my work with Syncrohearts. I learned a lot about relationships and the question that always came up was why are there so many ‘single’, spiritually minded women? Where did the men go?
This topic touches my heart because I have witnessed too many male friends who were “left behind”. I admit, some of them chose to stay behind, but others were shocked when their partners said goodbye. The women in their lives had embarked on a fast track spiritual journey. The men were intimidated by their partner’s new found power and wisdom. They felt isolated and lost in the sanctuary that their women had entered. Some were curious, some got mad and some gave up. They felt they could not keep up. Ladies we need your help. I know it’s a lot to ask... to hold our hands, guide us and help us grow. Try to be patient with us as we learn to be comfortable with the Goddess energy that is rising within and expanding around the planet.
In the reality CBC TV program, “The Day the Women Left Town”, it was comical to watch the men struggle on their own. On the other hand, it was rather sad to see how we need to be in desperate situations before we appreciate each other. I think it is safe to say that partners must grow together to ensure survival, and I believe we can help each other do that. If we are all one, then we have a responsibility to help our partner grow. If we leave them behind, we might leave a piece of ourselves with them. And if you are a man don’t be afaid to ask for help. It takes a strong person to do that; it is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign that your love is strong and true and willing to DO what needs to be done to make it work!

Living from the Heart
The Difference Between Love and LOVE
In our search for enlightenment and fi nding God in our heart, we need to know something very important - the feeling of unconditional love.
Listening to ‘The Most Important Video’ on YouTube, I realized why so many people have problems getting into the feeling of unconditional love. Unconditional Love is a love that is able to forgive and in the same breath, embraces all of God’s creation. Dr. Eric Pearl describes it as “the love that one experiences in a near-death-experience, not the Hallmark Greeting Card love”.
Why is it so diffi cult to get into this feeling of all embracing love? I think one reason may be because too many of us are constantly operating from our left brain, always asking for scientifi c proof, and are even proud to be left-brained. The power of Unconditional Love, on the other hand, appears to operate solely from the other side by following intuition, defying logic with what feels right... no need for reasons... the heart speaks and you follow.
I have many different friends…some with high leftbrain intelligence, and others with a high right-brain intelligence. I love them all dearly, but to be honest, when my life is in a tricky situation I seek the wisdom of the right-brained person. The right brain gives us the information we need for survival, the inner ‘knowing’ of what to do. Although the left brain can be brilliant and extremely helpful, sometimes ‘too much thinking and too many questions’ is just too much. Logic and analysis needs to giveway to the voice of our heart.
During this SHIFT into the new fi fth-dimensional world, we would do well to let go of our need to be intelligent, better than others and always nurturing our EGO. We need to open our hearts and fi nd this equilibrium again. I believe in order to fi nd that special place within, we need to allow ourselves to use our right and left brain equally.
I learned through ‘The Most Important Video’, that the place in our heart where God resides often cannot be accessed because old emotional trauma we have experienced is blocking it. Call it an ‘automatic defense mechanism’ perhaps, but often when we try to go there, the pain becomes so intense that we instantly ‘shut the door’ in a self protecting manner. It makes sense to me that we need to learn to love ourselves enough to let go of our past emotional trauma, the battle scars...call it what you wish, but it all amounts to unhealthy feelings that do not serve us anymore.
Dr. Eric Pearl travels the world non-stop teaching Reconnective Healing® and The Reconnection®, urging the certifi ed practitioners to spread the word about this NEW form of healing on the planet. It is an important time to open up to new ways of doing things - to endless possibilities that perhaps were not there before. He says, “If you are lucky, your healing will come in the form you anticipate. If you’re really lucky, your healing will come in a form you’ve not even dreamed of – one which the Universe specifi cally has in mind for you.”
Yes, there is an unspoken urgency these days to raise our vibrations, to be in a state of all embracing love. For some, the energetic SHIFT is the motivation, but for others, it is the realization that higher vibrations also neutralize lower vibrations and that includes germs/bugs and even chemicals. The highest vibration on earth is love, and old examples from different scriptures support that thought. Jesus didn’t walk the planet carrying a briefcase full of manuals... he carried everything he needed in his heart. ... and so can we. Miracles followed in his footsteps so why not again! It is time to heal ourselves from the inside out. Time to join hands to generate a powerful surge of this love-vibration for the world.

The Power of Love
The Wings of The Dove
Allelujah
If you have paid any attention over the past years to ‘the talk’ that goes on around you, you will have no doubt heard fl utterings of the DOVE word popping in from all angles. For some it appears to be a ‘code’ word of sorts - the problem is, you usually don’t know what the code is for. For others it brings back old memories of the ‘Holy Ghost’ fl ying in the form of a bird, or when the ghost transformed into ‘spirit’. It was the bird that fascinated you... hovering over altars with rays of light streaming from its wings. The stories go on from different sources but the sweet white bird continues to be an icon for peace and a sign of hope around the world.
If your attention was caught by the illustration on the proceeding page, you may recognize it as one from the book, ‘The Keys of Enoch’...published in 1977 by jj Hurtak. /www.keysofenoch.org/ According to that book there will come a time when the people of Light will return, bringing a new era of peace to the land and the pattern of the dove will activate the North Americas. In terms of the Dove picture, and others of the 12 points of a world energy grid, Vancouver Island and Nova Scotia are considered to be #6 & #9 of the 12, while serving a dual purpose as key locations on the wings of the Dove. Note that the water, the stones and crystals will also play an important role in the process. Other sources have varying degrees of the same story. We are not saying this is true. But since many of you ask us about ‘this dove stuff ’, we are showing you the drawing so you can see for yourself.
What we do align our thoughts with, is the concept that North Amercia and its people have the potential to be leaders in bringing peace and love to the world. We do believe in the power of water to shift and move and literally change its crystalline patterns when under the positive infl uence of people as co-creators. We printed photos of that years ago and there is plenty to educate you at http://www. masaru-emoto.net
In terms of our little part of heaven here on earth, we know we have lots of water and plenty of rocks. As for Canada, Vancouver Island plays a key role in holding that precise vibration of loving light - a vessel of the heart. Nova Scotia on the East Coast of the Atlantic Provinces, emits a power of Peace that is unparalled. It is a place where music rules the roost and the people are not afraid to sing and dance even when they are 90. That is the sound... vibration... the communication tools of great healing.
The power of the Dove is an expression to denote that concept of peace and love and its ability to expand swiftly, easily and with grace...a power that is capable of getting places another form could not...a gentle messenger bringing good news and hope and a sense of freedom for all - not just a few but for everyone. The dove is a sign from ‘the god within’ that you are indeed alive and well and capable of rising up and fl ying with purpose again.
Energetically right now on planet earth, there is a quiet movement happening. That which was stagnant is slowly beginning to circulate again. People who have been hiding from their own goodness are feeling proud of who they are. Compassion is on the upsurge and the sheer dynamics of this year, 2009 (being an 11) is supporting as many positive decisions as we are brave enough to make. That elusive power of transformation does not have to be destructive, as many would lead you to believe. Why would that be so, we ask you? How could it, if we truly believe in the power of our loving thoughts , the proof the water gives us of the miracle of prayer and words spoken with intention. If we believe, how could we not join the ranks of ‘all the independant people co-creating a transformative process that eventually includes everyone? One powered by a peaceful vibration that becomes a motor to serve the world. I am even more sure of what I say, if you take a moment to listen to the young people peacefully coming together and fi nding solutions to many of the words problems. Check out www. FreeTheChildren.com/weday/vancouver. I believe we are the ones we have been waiting for and everyday the sun wakes up, so does ‘someone out there some where’ and the wheels turn... and the dove coos... and every heart can open to the sound....Allelujah !

Program Your Mind
before it programs you
Have you ever been told that you can’t do something in your life? You have a great idea and the feeling is there…then all of a sudden, you’re told the exact opposite of what you know in your heart is right, and you feel yourself and your energy shrinking. The idea goes out the window and out of your mind until it is long forgotten. How often do we stop ourselves from moving ahead with a great idea or decision for the fear of what others may think of us? I love how Bob Proctor puts it, “It is none of your business what others think about you”. Clearly, it is not your concern how others will react to your great or outrageous idea. Follow your instincts, nobody knows better than yourself.
In reality, the only thing that should matter is what you think of yourself. So let’s get down to the truth…how do you really feel about yourself? When you look into a mirror, whom do you truly see? Are you living your life freely or are others infl uencing you? Are you concerned with what society might think about you, your life or your ideas?
How do you program your mind? Begin by tracking your thoughts and watch for any patterns that surface over and over again. When you catch yourself going back into old programming, be aware of where the negative thought originated, then go back into the situation and change the old belief. Correct it by replacing it with a positive thought and continually replace, ‘can’t’ with ‘can’! Remember the words of Henry Ford, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, either way you are right”.
Wouldn’t now be a good time to start reprogramming yourself with positive thoughts, intentions and ideas?
If you have been allowing others to navigate your life’s journey, step into your own power and reclaim yourself.
As humans we need to constantly remind ourselves about the unlimited potential that we have, both within and without. Life is full of challenges and obstacles that help us to grow as unique individuals, so we can inspire one another. However, if we don’t stay on top of monitoring our thoughts and feelings, we can easily slip into old habits. The key is to turn any habit into a positive one. Just as you brush your teeth every day, you should Program your mind on a daily basis. Eventually the old beliefs about yourself and what you thought you couldn’t do will fade away, until you realize and embrace the fact that anything is possible if you really put your mind to it.

What is Shaluha Ka?
All healing therapies are a partnership between the client and the practitioner. In order to receive any healing benefi ts from therapy, the client needs to allow the practitioner to support them in their “self-healing process”. The different techniques involved remind the client she already has the tools and abilities to help the self.
Shaluha Ka originated in Guatemala, and is a therapy practiced by the monks who live there. It was created to help people connect with the Kabala Tree of Life. The Kabala is an ancient wisdom explaining the creation of the world and the ten centres related to it. These centres relate to different parts of the body and the ten major energies located within us. When these energies are out of balance, it upsets the natural equilibrium and creates a lack of stability in our lives, Shaluha Ka stabilizes us.
Shaluha Ka means “Messages from the Spirit”. By calling upon the client’s spirit, the practitioner and client work together to help the client experience a deeper level of awareness and understanding of themselves and the universe. As well as supporting the healing process, Shaluha Ka will help relax, restore, balance and energize the body, mind and soul.
By using a variety of therapies (massage, refl exology, crystals, aura cleansing and energy channelling), relaxing the body and mind and creating a deeper sense of consciousness, the practitioner is able to help the client achieve the desired effect.
Shaluha Ka has been very helpful for a variety of conditions such as: migraines, chronic pain associated with back injuries, stiff shoulders, etc., for emotional issues; such as dealing with the loss of a loved one, better clarity of one’s life and of where they need to be. All it takes is an open mind and the willingness to let the energy take you to where it needs to go for that particular day.
This treatment is a very unique one, in that it can open the pathway to greater expansion of mind and spirituality. Thus it assists in creating a better sense of well-being, enlightenment, clarity and focus for your life path.
Kathy Seymour specializes in Shaluha Ka as well as Reiki and Quantum Touch. To book an appointment or obtain further information, call (250) 897-0309. see ad pg 24
Crystal Happy Heads
Grandfather heard some of you ask questions about the Happy Heads. So he will tell you a little bit. A long long time ago - before you counted days and nights, all the old chiefs had made friends with a crystal head. They were people of great guidance (even though you might say they were just old rocks). To the chief, anything that had the intelligence to be wise and loving were called people. These were stone people and we were always grateful for their loving help. They were the finest healers - ever. The beauty of them was they didn’t care who got the credit...they worked together as a unit and understood the complex patterns of the inner working of mother earth. They also knew a lot about the great source of light within them that was nourished by the light in the sky. They shared what they knew and used their power wisely. There were 12 plus 1 of them and (just like the chiefs), you’ll have to figure out yourself how many that is.
They were the real teachers of the times. Each head had different characteristics... some of them were funny and some were regal, some were accelerators of the energy of the wheels of creation and some watched...guarding the gateways so life could transcend. They were like the original chiefs who loved them, you could count on them for anything. If you had something to do and didn’t have enough people ready to help, they would take a place and hold the vibration of love with such clarity that everything was stable, and all GOOD things could be accomplished.
Grandfather knows you want to know where they came from; all he will tell you is it was a very special, sacred place. They appeared with great trust and still to this day, Dragonfly holds true to his promise of not speaking of their source. There is no reason everyone has to know everything about them - it is more honourable to respect that they came to be of assistance. Besides, when the time is energetically sound, they’ll tell you themselves. They came, because the people needed the wisdom they held. They made themselves to look like our heads because that was a real quick way for people to get the message about themselves. LOVE LOVE LOVE, that is all there is! They were amazing, truly AWEsome, and each old chief resonated with one and was a guardian of a stone. When the chiefs and heads all came together, everyone smiled and the heads were happy to be of service. They came to teach the people about love and being full of light, and staying on mother earth at the same time. They came to sing a higher frequency so life could move freely and peacefully and there would be no lack. They were not afraid - they were peaceful and full of joy. They still are, but sometime between then and now the chiefs forgot their purpose, and the people got hungry for control and the balance of life here disappeared. That’s when the heads knew the time was not right anymore and they would have to take a step back and wait for the people to remember again. They had all the time in the world because there was no time.
Later on, people told stories as they remembered and the stories got worn out and mixed up. There was a circle of heads all right and it was good - it was ALLways good. In your time, people have tried to use them to scare others, but it was wrong. So those heads shifted their power source so only people who cleared their hearts of anger and jealousy (etc) would hear them talking. They talked a lot; that’s why their teeth were so important, even thought they didn’t really move. There were different kinds of teeth and different shapes of heads, and a long time after Dragonfly’s time, there were other shapes that came and tried to pretend to be the ancient wise ones but most people didn’t fall for the tricks - their hearts knew the difference. It was OK though, the crystal heads will not play if the vibration is wrong and they still won’t. They’ll just sit there looking like a pretty rock. The old chiefs ‘prepared’ to be in their presence especially when more than one came together. It was a big ceremony and good things happened.
These days people want to bring back the circle of original crystal heads, but you can’t do it alone..it takes a lot of hearts to create love big enough to do that. It takes more than just the keepers of the heads, and the ones that are keepers need to remember the sacred patterns and align themselves in that way. Dragonfly will be very excited when that day comes again, it will be perfect. Best you practice just being together peacefully with the stones first. Right now, pretty much all of the old heads are invisible, still some good old ones are with you making things ready for their return. Really you don’t want all those old ones coming back together yet, because the vibration would be too different from your own. The truth is, it is not your words they listen to, it is your heart... when the love song is perfect, they will return.
Nowadays, people are making heads for you from good stones; they are not old but the stones are old. They are not from the place the first ones came from, but the rocks remember the vibration and are happy to help you or your great grandchildren get ready for the real ones. Some things are still true ...some heads serve you better than others - just like in your own families, all the brothers/sisters don’t do things the same. The new heads are coming now, along with some real older ones, to teach you. Some of you like to think you can do every thing by yourself and don’t need a teacher - but it’s just a word for ‘a great gift’. A true teacher doesn’t come to tell you what to do, they come to pave a way and open doors so you can find your own way easier. That’s good. You gotta remember that when you came to mother earth, a lot of what you knew before was hidden from you - so why not be grateful to have some friends help you remember again. The key to unlocking the mysteries that the heads bring, is you gotta get a lot of special people together on the same track, with love so big - it goes beyond the sky. When you look at a crystal head, look for the love - they will teach you to look beyond the illusion.
Nowadays you got lots of carvers making heads and some of them don’t understand the stones they are carving. Some are not patient enough to listen to the invisible heads song while they are carving. The ancient heads would help the carver if they let them! Some carvers do that and then the heads they make are real good tools to help you find your own crystal head inside yourself. Some forget to say their prayers and then they carve heads that look funny... Dragonfly says, no wonder some of them make you uncomfortable because they are not reflecting the crystal’s energy. They are energetically unbalanced. So they just get to be ‘a carving’ with no real purpose. That’s because the crystal had to go to a very quiet place. That’s a little problem because some of you are judging them all by some that aren’t right. You are superimposing your own emotions onto their faces. That’s too bad.
When you look at a head with love and no criticism, you begin to unlock the healing. Look for the personality it carries because there is more to it than just a piece of rock. There is a possibility that if the head resonates with you and you can hear its heartbeat - then you can be good friends. They are good fun and like to go places with you and help you make your dreams come true. Soft and gentle, strong and beautiful, kind and loving; special just like the old ones - only different. They are just like the old ones but tuned better to the frequency you can handle now, so you can practice what it’s like living with a family like that again... co-creating peace and forgiveness. So many things they will show you by their example - especially how to get along with each other.
I love you very much - as much as I love the water— Grandfather Dragonfl y speaks from the spirit of an ancient Vancouver Island Chief who shares his love, wisdom and ways of the ‘old ones’ with great joy. His speech is slow - thoughtful and ‘unpolished’ yet always full of love. He is grateful to ‘the one who hears crystals singing’ for lending him her voice.
Peace and Forgiveness For All
EARTHWIDE - November 11/ 2009
Dear EAGLEyeONE, Greetings, Beloved, beautiful, very ‘spiritually awakened’ ones! Please SET your calendar for Nov. 11, 2009 - as our collective Earthwide “Peace and Forgiveness of All” day.
Nothing happens by accident... and all things on Earth always work for the ‘good of all’. I hope you will be with us and support our collective human consciousness by posting my Call to Action notice and notify readers of our - Nov. 11, 2009 - “Peace and Forgiveness of All” day.
As you may know, I was inspired to introduce the concept and the word “soulmate” to mass human consciousness on Earth in 1971 with my fi rst book on soulmates, “Finding Your Soulmate” - (still selling in 12 languages 38 years later) a word unknown to the masses then, but after more than 500 Radio and TV talk show appearances - over a period of 10 years - the word ‘soulmate’ is now dearly embedded in the hearts and on the lips of almost everyone abiding on Earth--in all languages!
As you further well know, nothing can stop an idea ‘when its time’ has come! Ditto - for our “Peace and Forgiveness of All” day. Nov. 11, 2009
Note.... The below “Call to Action” was posted to many thousands of Lightworkers in my Aug. 3, 2009 ‘Michael Worldwide Newsletter’.
CALL TO ACTION
As our Archangels and Ascended Masters of Earth have revealed, the vibratory frequency of Gaia, our living Earth planet, and all life on Earth has now reached a required high ‘end times’ pitch and THUS NOW a ‘collective human INTENT’ immediately AND IMMENSELY calls ‘quantum physics’ into play! Miracles, instant manifestations, instant healings, and seemingly magical collapses of time, space and motion will become more and more humanly common, public and self evident.
For those of us who are awake, ready and willing, our individual and mass physical body and Being Ascension--without experiencing physical body death--is assured!
Remember, if it is just you and me alone, As Jesus the Christ Consciousness Master we know and love dearly said--”when two or more are gathered together in My Name”- we have His promise of us then creating an immense power of manifestation. So let’s you and I begin! Let us begin NOW--let’s set the date of Nov, 11, 2009 as the fi rst agreed ‘collective’ conscious human INTENT of a “Peace and Forgiveness of All” day to be established. Let those beloved others who join us - who the ever present Law of Attraction ‘calls to action’- respond in their own right and in their own chosen time. So be it!
If you and I send this message to our email lists, and we ask others to do the same, and we talk to our loved ones and friends, asking them to do the same - spreading ‘the word’- that this vitally important “Peace and Forgiveness of All” day ‘movement’ will have now effectively begun. And... so it is!
Perhaps other already stable and respected existing Lightworker websites will ‘host’ and spread this movement worldwide via the Internet - in a fl ash. Are you with me on this? Let’s do it. Let’s have fun, companionship, forgiveness of all...and peace on Earth! It’s about time! All is well. Bless us all. We are One. Be at peace, now.
I am Russ Michael. Age-Reversal@aon. at www.soulmatebooks.com ****** We don’t know Russ personally, but as you know we’ve orchestrated a Peace Event during the Nov 11th days for over a decade, so we were ‘IN’ before he even asked. Oh Happy Day! See the back cover for our Vancouver Island Peace Event if you would like to join us.
PAWSitively Yours...
from the Sceptre King
I was sitting in the sun recently - my black coat soaking up the warm light and my white heart beaming it out again. I was feeling like a lucky kind of guy as I watched the neighbourhood felines parade through my yard. There were the usual crew of fellows who have homes nearby. They come every day just like you might have done as children, going to ‘check out your friend’s house just in case something interesting was going on. Nobody called ahead - it was a spontaneous act and if it wasn’t appropriate, well... you quickly ran back home or over the fence into another yard. Such a freedom you enjoyed in those times, and even though children don’t get to do that anymore...cats still can! I smile to myself at our good fortune. Hey, have you ever seen a cat smile? Well start paying attention because you might be in for a surprise!
As I was thinking about all this, in walked Rosie! Ah Rosie! Now that’s a story. He (yes I said he - his name comes from earlier times when no one could get close enough to know what gender he was and we thought he was female).Rosie ‘happened’ as a name, because even though he was scared and hungry, and hurting in more ways than one, he was a ‘gentle spirit’ and you could see his capacity to love beyond the norm. We now call him Raphael, as a formal ‘temple-cat’ named after the healing angel. But Rosie will always be Rosie, a great teacher of love and forgiveness - of never giving up, of being brave enough to trust again.
I am sitting here ever so grateful. I could not imagine not knowing where my next meal was coming from; being cold and hungry during the night and worrying if someone was going to hurt me. Most likely, the problem began somewhere in Rosie’s lineage, with a cat who belonged to someone. Perhaps it was a cat that got left behind, or got lost and eventually became a stray that met another stray, and they had kittens. If you go back far enough, you’ll note it wasn’t the cats fault. It was a mix-up, a misunderstanding, or a lack of education of the importance of getting a pet ‘fi xed’ so that it did not contribute to a bigger problem. I’m saying this now because I heard MamaG* read in the paper that some people are actually letting their pets go because they don’t think they can afford them anymore. I hope you would think very hard before you did such a thing. You are the trusted ones and when you picked out your pet you made a lifelong committment for their care. I know sometimes things change - but if it does - you need to make an effort to fi nd them a new home. Of course, you would explain to them that you still love them and are not abandoning them. YES I AM saying you should talk to your pets - out loud!! We like it and we do understand! You know, it’s taken over 3 years to turn Rosie from the dine and dash midnight prowler. Even now he still looks at you with his big blue eyes, hoping he’s not making a mistake when he allows a human hand to gently pat him. Slowly, as the months go by the trust grows again. Heck, why stop with your pets. Some of your human friends could use the same gentle encouragement as well. MamaG* talks to Rosie out loud all the time, even though we think he is deaf. She thinks he can feel the vibration of the words and feels the love in a different way. I know she is right.
So let’s give some extra loving consideration to the furry ones around you; assume they understand what you are saying when you speak. Share your joys and sorrows with us. We are good listeners, and our purring will certainly help you heal or celebrate, you’ll see. And then let’s start a new daily habit, with kindness - let’s say something nice out loud.
with love from my furry white heart to yours, The Sceptre King PS With Christmas coming, please remember pets do not make good gifts unless the recipient has actually asked for one. Even then make sure they are able to care for it, before you put a big bow around their neck
Life is a Labyrinth
Whether we take a leisurely stroll to the local store or a thousand mile excursion to a foreign city, for some reason the journey back home always seems so much quicker than the outward trip. Surely this is just an illusion. After all, the distance is the same; the route is merely reversed. Nowhere is this phenomenon more noticeable than when walking a labyrinth. But what is a labyrinth and what causes this apparent acceleration in time as the journey nears its end?
Despite dictionary defi nitions to the contrary, a labyrinth is not a maze. There is nothing confusing about a labyrinth. It is a single continuous meditative path that leads to a central point – though not in a simple spiral - and from the centre of the labyrinth the same path winds back out to the starting point. To me, a labyrinth is a metaphor for life’s journey; a long, winding pathway full of experiences and challenges that eventually doubles back on itself to end at the place where it all began.
Above is the classical 7 circuit left-handed labyrinth my wife and I built on Gabriola Island in 2007. (“Left-handed” denotes that the fi rst turn once you have entered the labyrinth is to the left).
This ‘classical’ labyrinth is often called a ‘Cretan labyrinth’ because it is the same layout that is reputed to have been built by the Minoans on the island of Crete to house the mythical beast, The Minotaur.
Labyrinths have existed in various forms in diverse parts of the world for at least four thousand years. There is some evidence that they may even have been constructed during Neolithic times, (as early as 10,000 BCE), in countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea.
While there appears to be nothing inherently mystical about the basic design of a labyrinth, many people believe that they are imbued with supernatural powers. Some observers contend that they have hidden geometric and numerological prompts that create a multi-dimensional holographic fi eld revealing the presence of a cosmic order. These secret patterns are referred to as sacred geometry.
One of the most fascinating theories regarding the labyrinth is its probable connection to music. The parallel in the classical seven circuit labyrinth with the commonest division of the octave, into seven notes, is easily noticed - see the illustration on the next page. The journey there may be based on descending or ascending scales. With the former there is analogy with the descent to death or the fertile unconscious, then followed by the ascent from the centre out of the labyrinth into re-birth or renewed life.
Whether or not there are cosmic forces at play, there is no denying that everyone I have spoken to who has walked a labyrinth has been convinced, just as I am, that it has taken much longer to reach the centre than it has to get back out.
One potential explanation for this apparent time warp is that, in general, we accept that the passage of time varies depending on the circumstances. We recognize this phenomenon in proverbs like ‘a watched pot never boils,’ and we have all experienced the way in which a pleasurable event simply flies past while the office clock seems to go into reverse at about 3:30pm everyday. But how can we explain the acceleration of time during the return laps of a labyrinth?
As we enter a labyrinth we look to the past; to the problems and irritations of daily life; perhaps to some major catastrophe which has deeply affected us. These thoughts can be weighty and can hold us back both mentally and physically. But when we reach the centre of the labyrinth and pause for a few minutes of thoughtful meditation we fi nd ourselves disconnecting from real world tribulations – we fi nd a moment of inner peace. Then, as we begin the return journey, we know that we are facing the future. We may not fi nd answers to all of our problems as we weave back out but because we are walking towards a resolution we are relieved of the burden that so hampered us on the way in.
With the yoke of the past lifted from our shoulders, and the anticipation of fi nding solutions to our troubles, we race towards the future with new found energy and lightness of spirit. Therefore, the walk out is more enjoyable than the walk in.
Now, can we apply this principle to life in general? Is life a labyrinth? Perhaps the greatest difference between walking a labyrinth and our journey through life is that we know precisely when the labyrinth’s path will end. But we only discover this through experience. Because of the circuitous pathway of a labyrinth we have no idea how long the journey will be until we reach the midway point. Only then does our journey seem to gather speed. And the same factor seems to apply to life.
When I was a youngster of nine or ten, birthdays, holidays and Christmases took forever to arrive. Now I am in my sixties and these annual events zip around at an alarming pace.
I propose that as we age and pass what we may perceive as the centre point of our life on Earth, we have gained the wisdom to deal with most of life’s trials and tribulations – we can confi dently walk the remainder of our time without the burdens of the young, knowing that the pathway will inevitably take us back to the place where we began.

The 7th Path
We believe the 7th Path is a topic new to most of you, so we took it upon ourselves to ask Wendie a few questions to clarify that for you.
The 7th Path™ is hypnosis-empowered meditation. It’s a unique a p p r o a c h t o self-healing that combines self-hypnosis with meditation and prayer. It’s a mind-body-spirit system and much easier to do than meditation. Anyone can do it.
7th Path™ has its roots in A Course in Miracles, psychology, hypnotherapy, spirituality and while you don’t have to be spiritual to benefi t from the 7th Path™ - it helps.
Who can benefit from 7th Path ™ self hypnosis? …. 7th Path was originally designed for people who may not want to do therapy. It’s for grownups, not children, and anyone who wants to reduce stress in their life will benefi t from learning 7th Path. It’s no secret that stress is a killer. It ages us before our time. It robs us of our mental clarity. It makes us cranky, depressed, anxious, forgetful and fatigued. I’m getting stressed just talking about it!
Did you know that the American Institute of Stress reports that 75 to 90 percent of all visits to primary healthcare professionals are for stress-related complaints? Conditions like hypertension, chronic pain, intestinal complaints, skin disorders, weight problems, allergies, sleep disturbances, inhibited immune function, all have an underlying stress factor.
Meditation is a universally accepted treatment for stress-related issues. That means 7th Path™ is an effective system for addressing these issues without any of the nasty side effects common to prescription drugs.
What will I experience? …It’s different for everyone, of course. And each practice period can be quite different. I’ve had some pretty amazing energy experiences with 7th Path™. What most people experience is comfort and relaxation, but there may be times when you feel antsy or uncomfortable. That’s part of the process and tells you the process is working! You’re actually releasing things that have been getting in your way – so you can feel it! With 7th Path™ the process is gentle and progressive. You can stop at any time. And you’re always in control.
What makes it different from other self-hypnosis systems?…7th Path™ is based on the 5-PATH® system. You must be a certifi ed 5-PATH® hypnosis practitioner to teach the 7th Path Self-Hypnosis™ system. 5-PATH® stands for “5 Phase Advanced Transformational Healing”. It’s a systematic approach to identifying and resolving the various underlying factors contributing to an issue using hypnosis.
7th Path™ is like the “next generation” of self-hypnosis. Conventional self-hypnosis involves giving yourself suggestions for change while in hypnosis. It can take a lot of repetition to change existing patterns this way, especially when they’re emotional. Most people give up before they’re successful. The 7th Path ™ is different because it works to remove the internal blocks before you ever give yourself suggestions for change.
How does it work?….Two simple steps. First you “empty the cup.” That simply means allowing the process to release uncomfortable, negative thoughts and feelings responsible for internal stress. The more internal stress you release, the better you feel. And the more space you have for the good and positive thoughts and feelings you want. Most people notice they’re sleeping better right away. Situations that used to trigger them emotionally lose their power. And feelings of confi dence, hopefulness, and well-being all increase just by emptying the cup.
You’ve heard the saying, “The Universe abhors a vacuum”? Well, the more you empty your cup, the more receptive your mind becomes to ideas that are good and nourishing for you. So the second step is where you can “fi ll the cup” with good, healthy thoughts and feelings that you want, that empower you!
During the course you will receive a series of fi ve “Recognitions.” The fi rst four work automatically to empty the cup. The fi fth Recognition is where you can begin to deliberately fi ll your cup with what you want to create in your life.
What is a “Recognition”?…A “Recognition” is a suggestion you give to yourself, while in the state of hypnosis, that is universally recognized as positive. Each is specifi cally designed to resonate through the nervous system of the body - so you can actually feel them working! Like vibrational medicine, the Recognition strengthens anything that is a vibrational match to it. Anything that confl icts with it is automatically weakened or neutralized.
Like the “initiations” in Reiki, each Recognition has a unique energy signature that is passed directly from teacher to student. During the “Basic 5” course you receive 5 of these Recognitions (there are more). Many people have profound experiences when they receive certain Recognitions. Each Recognition has a specifi c function beginning with your connection to Source, whatever you perceive it to be. The “basic 5” cleanse and heal and restore energies like self-love, self-acceptance, forgiveness, and your power of choice. These things are basic to everyone. Many self-healing programs have an initial effectiveness that eventually wears off.
Can I go for updates?…When you create change on the inside, that change is permanent. It’s not like taking a pill where the effects wear off after a few hours and you have to take another pill. This isn’t about treating symptoms. During the practice you’re actively engaged in a process of healing that you can feel working. When you feel some discomfort, it’s because it’s being released from your mind-body system. You don’t even need to know what it was! If you release a fear – that fear is gone! You may have other fears but once resolved, you never have to deal with that one again! So the results don’t diminish, they accrue over time. Like any form of meditation, 7th Path™ requires practice. So the more you practice, the better you feel.
I believe all healing is self-healing that comes from within. We’re factory hard-wired for healing! The problem is we’ve developed a few blocks along the way, and these blocks can prevent us from healing – physically, emotionally, or spiritually. This thinking comes out of ancient healing philosophies like Traditional Chinese Medicine. Even Hippocrates, the father of Western Medicine, taught that the physician’s role was to support the body in healing itself! So it just makes sense to me to put the focus on releasing the blocks, rather than managing the symptoms. It also follows that no one can do it for us. We need to do our own work. 7th Path™ supports you in doing your own work.
In the first class I invite people to make a commitment to practice their 7th Path Self-Hypnosis™ for six weeks. That means setting time aside to practice twice a day, ideally morning and evening. You start out with only 5 or 10 minutes, so it’s really a small adjustment to your lifestyle. The objective is to add 5 minutes each week until you’re up to 20 minutes per session. That’s the most anyone ever needs to do.
Of course, you can always do more! I like longer practice periods because I enjoy the deeper states. But it’s all up to you, based on what works for you. After 6 weeks you decide. If you think your cup is suffi ciently empty, you can adjust your program down to once a day. If you fi nd that you still have some clearing to do, just continue with your program. You decide. Either way, as the Dalai Lama says, “Keep up your practice!”
Now, you asked about “updates.” A really good way to upgrade your energy is to practice 7th Path Self- Hypnosis™ with others in a group. As you know, the energy of a group of people meditating together is quite delicious! And it seems to be easier to go deeper with a group. So I encourage people to stay connected on “The Path.”
Another way to upgrade your practice is to receive more Recognitions. For those who wish to go deeper into their own healing, work on more spiritual issues or increase their spiritual connection, there are Advanced Recognitions which are designed to work at these levels. But the “basic 5” is all most people will ever need to work on their own issues.
The class is offered over three classes. Included in the course are the 7th Path Self-Hypnosis™ Practitioners Manual, a Workbook and the Secret Language of Feelings by Calvin Banyan, the originator of the 7th Path™ system.
The fi rst 7th Path™ class is a full day. You’ll learn about how your mind was designed to work, how hypnosis works and how to do the practice of 7th Path™. You’ll receive your fi rst Recognition and learn how to take yourself into hypnosis and how to emerge yourself. You practice for a week, come back for half a day and you’ll receive the next two Recognitions. Then you go practice those for a week and come back for the fi nal class, which is a full day. You’ll receive the fi nal two Recognitions and learn how to create effective suggestions and use them in a powerful way while you’re in hypnosis.
During the course you’ll experience, not only hypnosis but the releasing effects of 7th Path™. There’s a sharing process following each 7th Path™ session. You’re free to choose what you will share, but expression is a very important part of the process. Everyone in the group benefi ts and it helps you to integrate the changes.
Do you offer it as a weekend course? … I discovered that a weekend course just wasn’t as effective in terms of learning. And I really want people to benefi t from this! I learned that spacing it out over three weeks gives people time to practice, integrate what they’ve learned and then come back with questions. I also learned the optimum class size is no more than 12 people, so I purposefully keep classes small. This makes it more intimate, which encourages deeper healing.
My focus is on empowering people to do their own work and I take my work very seriously. Should you decide later to expand into personal counselling, the course will give you a tool you can use between sessions to reinforce the work we’re doing. So you get more “bang for your buck” when you begin healing with hypnosis by learning 7th Path Self-Hypnosis™.
Best of all, you’ll have a tool you can use for the rest of your life! You can use 7th Path™ to heal the wounded places in your heart and soul. You can explore your deepest feelings, thoughts, fears, hopes, dreams and discover who you really are. 7th Path™ is really a personal empowerment system. As you continue to use it you can create the life and relationships you truly desire. You can bring yourself into alignment with your higher purpose and fi nd deeper spiritual meaning in your everyday life.

LIGHT on LIGHT
Greetings on this third triad of your year of the 11 - a most powerful and amazing Gateway year. It is a time when the ‘true friend within’ begins to awaken in a truer sense. It is a delight to hear your vibration truly begin to rise up beyond the veil ! Well Done.
We say this because it is a time when Beings of Light are challenged in new ways. We encourage you to hold steadfast to what you believe in, and note there are things unfolding right now that you have waited years to transpire. Thank goodness! Many of you have ignored the ‘impossibility’ of the reality-of-the-situation and never let go of the dream. Your ability to believe in yourself and in your source-family, NOW begins to serve you against all odds. It is the time when the fruits of your diligence will reveal itself ... and you would do well to believe even MORE, so that your harvest will be beautiful and abundant. Let the fruits of your labour present themselves to your table, and like a gracious host, prepare a plate to receive them so they may serve you.
What a time to stay ‘in love’ with everyone around you, as the Gateway of amazing Transformation opens up like never before. In simple terms, it is similar to an energetic doorway that is vast and yet totally contained in love. It is a stable and precise vibration, designed specifi cally to assist planetary hearts so the people may then assist ‘the all’. It is a pillar of invisible light that is orchestrated from the highest of the high and like a divine mother/father, watches over your travelling to see you safely to your destination. It is a time of amazing opportunity for people of like minds to gather, and together accelerate the energetics for the greater good of themselves and everyone around them. The Gateway times are special - they are precious - priceless indeed.
The 11:11 Gateway for this year of the 11 begins to quietly/gently open up in the vicinity of your 9:9:9 calendar time (September 9, 09). Depending on how you choose to facilitate your personal transformation, will have some factor in how quickly it spreads a vibration of loving forgiveness. It is not going to do it for you, but it will surround you with a loving supportive vibration to assist you to do it for yourself. Assuming a great number of individuals take this opportunity, the potential for groups around the world to come together on the 11 day of the 11 month (Nov. 11) and speed up their own process is gigantic. This coming together will support and emblazen the very air you breathe - the grains of sand - the sound in the water...all of this will result so that the vibration of your year of 2010 may center itself with a fresh start, previously unheard of. It is as if a master architech removes all of the old buildings that are no longer stable , as if the wind blows through and sweeps away old dust balls of discordant energy. It is as if the sun warms the very heart of you and the stars light up the shadows of your dreamtime. It takes so little for each one to contribute, than when many join with each other...proud to be yourself - the symphony, the dance truly begins. This fi nal triad of your year is a perfect time for the ancient sacred geometry patterns to begin to resonate within and have the potential to make your life even better.
These are the times to see the light even when there appears to be none. Days for ‘living beyond the heart’ which is a concept of love of the highest sort. Where one transcends all the petty goings-on of the people around them. And yet it does not mean we ignore them, that would be too easy. HA HA HA. Rather, we say, it is a powerful act when you can live fully on your own spiritual path and still kindly embrace the others around you...even the prickly ones.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, JOY, JOY JOY and GREAT GRATITUDE for the insight to be ‘consciously’ doing so... for those of an expanded consciousness, it becomes easy. So we say keep trying - practice makes perfect and every smile you bestow is a spark of transformation.
YES indeed! These are times for making miracles and ‘the ancient architects’ from forever (that would be your beautiful selves) are THE ONES to do just that. Happy Days of Light Transcending...Peace and Forgiveness for all.
TODAY WE ARE sending you great love to assist your heart to expand for those who need it most. Sending you great joy to emblazen ‘the loving cosmic HA HA HA’ into your voice. Sending you pure Peace to fi ll your every step with prayer and grace.
love you we do - beyond measure *** *** *** THE 9 9 9 *** *** ***
